Baby's hiccups while expecting

[deleted account] ( 5 moms have responded )

I'm 36 weeks and my baby girl has normally been getting the hiccups everyday for a couple weeks now. Is that normal? I think it's so adorable but this is my first child so I don't know if there is anything to worry about or not.

Awww, All three of my daughter had hiccups while inside. It was cute, but totally annoying when it came to me trying to get to sleep. They are all perfectly healthy children of 4,6 & 8 so don't let it worry you. Enjoy the short time left with her inside, as it all seems to go way too quickly after that.

All the best and God's blessings for a safe delivery.

it is perfectly normal. She's just exorcising her diaphram, getting ready to start breathing. Nothing to worry about. Enjoy your little one.

Perfectly normal and feel pretty cool, funny, exciting, weird, and many other sensations so just enjoy it. When they baby gets them you might be able to watch them. Kind of cool to sit and watch the baby inside you move, at least I thought it was.

It's perfectly normal for you baby to get the hiccups. This means that your baby is practicing swallowing! When I was pregnant with my first son he had the hiccups about 3 or 4 times a day. With my current pregnancy this baby doesn't get them at all, so I think it has to do with how active your baby is.
