Is it just me or is anyone else really disturbed by CBeebies Waybuloo. It's a TV programme which is part animated, part real. There is a part in the programme where the Waybuloo piplings levitate and 'ooohhm' and then go onto doing yoga. The yoga part would be alright of sorts, it's the levitation and meditation that bothers me. This would be like Roman Cathilics putting the rosary in a similar context.

We've banned Waybaloo episodes in our house, I'm not usually so conservative, but this really itches me where I can't scratch- am I being over the top?

I have two girls- 4 and 20 months.

I think its a beautiful show. meditation and yoga are good for you. Do not fear such beautiful helpful things. I am a christian who practices yoga and and meditation. Even if they did put the rosary in the same context, I do not see the harm in that. Anything that encourages peace should be a good thing.

Never heard of Waybaloo, but the yoga and meditation bother me. When you are chanting a word or phrase, over and over, this gives the Enemy a way in. Jesus said not to 'vain repetition as the heathen do'. That, to me, includes yoga/meditation. Turn on Veggie Tales or something ;)

God bless, sweetie

Quoting jo:

My toddler girls( 3 years and 21 months) love this show, they watch it daily. We treat the yoga part as we would a dance routine in any other kids show, and place no more importance than that.In our house the creatures fly,my toddlers know nothing of levitation or meditation. If I thought there was any danger of it leading them astray I wouldn't allow it in the house. As far as my children are concerned these are friendly smiley creatures.I watch what they're watching and gauge their reaction, but from what I've seen, and we've been watching a few months now,it'll make no more impact on my girls than In The Night Garden.

Sometimes it doesn't matter how your children respond to something like a show or a book or whatever. What really matters is the effect it will have on them spiritually. The Enemy will use a show like Waybaloo to infiltrate your home. He will tell you lies, such as, "those creatures are simply flying" and "this show will have no effect on your kids". Thats what he does.  We are engaged in spiritual warfare ALL THE TIME.  I think you should pray and ask if these shows are appropriate for your family...

I've never heard of Waybuloo, but it makes me sick. The New Age is infiltrating everything in every form. We need to guard our children's little minds so carefully!

We chant the rosary over and over, it helps to clear the mind and help me feel god inside. When the mind is always chattering away, its difficult to get in touch with the spirit, so when saying the rosary your focused on just one thing and the lords beautiful spirit can be felt because we are not looking away from it. at other

I have not seen Waybuloo but it gave me the willies just reading about it. As the mom if you are not comfortable with this program than by all means do not let your children watch it.

Sarah, I have never heard of or seen Waybaloo, however smart move on your part to ban it! We are the "filters" for our children and there are so many "unworthy" things trying to get in their heads. Our children are so impressionable when they are young, so we have to be careful what they see, heard and do. What is that children's song.....becareful little eyes what you see, becarful little ears...... anyways, good call!

Oh my...I totally feel the same way about that Waybuloo show. No way is my 2 year old daughter watching garbage like that! It just goes to show that we need to monitor everything our kids watch.
