If you're into Christian Rock, my husband and I love Thousand Foot Krutch, Skillet, Pillar, and Red. I also really like Adie (she's married to Jeremy Camp).

My husband listens to the Christian Rock station here in Maine and he found a band that he really likes. They're called The Almost and Flyleaf gets played on that station as well. We also listen to Underoath (if you like the more of the screamo type of music)

Hi, I'm the Mother in law of the lead singer of Jael. If you go to www.jaelrocks.com, you can see what they are doing. They are actually touring the US soon and you can request for them to visit your church. *Jael will appeal to teenagers or young Mums, as they're a bit, out there! Other singers/groups I can recommend are *Newsboys, *Hillsong, Go Fish and Vegie tales. All * noted are Australians. *Steve Grace can be found if you Google his ministry. He also tours the US. and is a friend of mine. If you Google any group or singer you will probably find their website and see where they sell their CD's or maybe you can download freebies and see when they are touring and where.

Quoting Bethina:
Jars of Clay, Casting Crowns, Sara Groves, Jeremy Camp, MercyMe, Chris Tomlin, Rachel Lamps, Stacy Orrico, Switchfoot, ThirdDay, TobyMac, Grits, and Big Daddy Weave are some of my favorites. If you want to listen to some of their music before you buy a CD, you can always listen to a christian radio station online if you have access to do so. Some good websites are: www.verticalradio.org www.ktlf.org www.theriver1023.com I hope this helps.
I completely agree with Bethina.. any of the goups she listed are awesome. I personally love Third Day, Jeremy Camp, and Casting Crowns. Their music always lifts me up when I need it, and my kids who are 9 and 6 love it. My daughter who is 1 likes to dance to it so she will love it too when she understands. My hubby is a huge fan of them too.

Don't forget hip-hop and R&B - outside of TobyMac there's MaryMary, KJ-52, Group1Crew, John Reubin. I'm also a fan of Skillet, Switchfoot, Newsboys. A neat feature on the Family Christian bookstore site is a list of secular artist - whatever style you listen to - and their Christian counterpart. Once you are on the Family Christian store website, click on the music section then scroll down to features where you will see the music heading. Click on "recommendation chart". It may take a few minutes to get into but is pretty neat to check out.

Wow- I can't believe no one has recommended Steven Curtis Chapman. I would suggest him to anyone no matter what genre of music you are looking for. If you like contemporary then you'll like his more recent albums, but to me everything he has written is amazing. My 4 year old sings his songs word for word and talks about him like she's known him her whole life.

Chris Tomlin, Micael W Smith there are many good Christian Artists. Go to Christian Book store and they usually have an area that you can listen to music many of the people who work there are quite help ful too. A good place to order them online is yourmusic.com last time I checked they were 699 each including postage. Blessing as you search it will be benifiticual

Toby Mac, David Crowder Band, Superchick, Natalie Grant, Zoe Girl, Starfield, etc... it depends on what they like to listen to Pop, Country, Rock, etc.. there are Christian Bands/Artists for any type of music, Check out CJ Hitz website he is a Christian Speaker and has many resources for finiding music/media influences that are positive. http://www.cjhitz.com/links.html
or Try going to K-Love and listening to their station and finding artist/songs that you and your children can all enjoy!

A good way to sample several Christian artists is through the purchase of a Dove Award Winners CD. They're sold by year (Dove 2008, 07, 06, etc). Then you can decide for yourself who you really prefer.
