Does anyone know anything about Cloth diapers? Where to get them online? Which brand is the best? Which brand to avoid?

I have bungenius 3.0 I like them but not love them....my kids I guess may be bigger than average and they don't fit long enough. I also have Happy Heiny's which I like but know other moms who don't like them because their kids are thinner. I have a few blueberry diapers and like them. I also have Mommys Touch which I like the best because they are snaps and not velcro. (My kids figure out how to undo the velcro and take them off!) All the ones are one size and pockets so you can stuff as much as you need for absorbancy. The mommy's touch also have it open on both ends so you don't have to pull out the inserts before you wash them...they just fall out in the wash (even in a front load).

I agree with Jamie, I love Bum Genius 3.0, I bought others like Fuzzi bunz and apple cheeks. But Bum Genius were the best, and my hubby approved of them, he did not like the ones with snaps as he has big fingers and it is hard with a squirmy little one. Bum Genius are a pocket diaper and they run about 22 bucks each and comes with the liners and such. If you are in Canada, www.cozybums.ca sells them and she is where I get mine locally, but she ships and if you have $100.00 or more she ships free. I spent a good 500.00 on my c/diapers and I own about 24 and I also bought some homemade ones, but I would suggest only buying one or two and seeing if they leak first. I have not had any leaks in my Bum Genius or Fuzzi Bunz, or Apple cheeks, just the homemade ones, but homemade was about $10-12 a piece and I find they are fine during the day when I am changing my daughter lots. So if you don't want to spend much, it could be an option to buy some cheaper ones for day use and spend a bit more money on some for the night time use.
I see Jamie has suggested used C/D which is also great!
I hope that helps and good luck with the C/D, I love it and it is so much more environmentally friendly. My daughter barely ever has diaper rashes either. We wore disposables while on holidays, and boy oh boy was I glad to stop using them, they leaked all the time on us.
God Bless

My reply is gone, so here I go again....

I, personally, love bum genius one-size pockets. They are easy enough for anyone to use, are easy to clean, and are cost-effective as they fit newborns through toddlers (the same diaper). You can also get used cloth diapers on your local craigslist and on www.diaperswappers.com if you don't mind (I do, I just sanitize them). Here are some stores my friends own:

www.ababyconnection.com
www.greenchicmama.com
www.momsmilkboutique.com/

Feel free to message me with questions.

I use cloth diapers. It depends on how much you are willing to spend. The most cost effective way to go is pre-folds with covers put they do take a little more work. They run about $1 a piece for the diapers if you just get basic gerber ones. The covers run $12 - $15 each and you will need to buy these buy size as well however you don't have to change the cover every time only if the diaper does not catch all of it. I would recommend around 4-5 in each size. I use plastic Swadlebee's covers with snaps. If using pre-folds you will also need fastners or "snappies" which you can see a picture of at this link: http://www.happybottomus.com/ProductDeta... If price is not a concern then I would go with all in one diapers which are just as easy as disposable. But you do have to buy around 2 dozen per size and they run $15 - $20 each. Feel free to email me with any questions. I have attached a link to the store I buy them from here locally in Missouri but you can also order off there web site. http://www.happybottomus.com/www.happybo...

I have two friends from church who both had babies this summer and are both using cloth diapers. We have another friend who makes cloth diapers that are the pre-fitted or whatever you call them. They are really neat, but really expensive. They both ordered them on-line, but I can't remember the website.... they also have cloth wipes, and all that stuff... I don't know of any brands to avoid. But I do know that the pre-fitted ones work great! They also have the new clip things so that you don't have to worry about poking your baby with a pin.

Here is a site with a lot of info on cloth diapers. It gives pros and cons to all the different kinds:

I think it depends where you live. I know Toronto has a couple of diaper services that deliver clean ones & take the soiled ones to be cleaned. Check your local yellow pages.
