Tam
I've inly just started checking out this community and I am so so pleased to listen to this sermon. I am going to tell the mums of a Christian mums and tots home group that i co-run all about it and encourage them to listen. It provides excellent scriptural teaching on a very practical level. I'm also going to get my husband to listen. We have a 4 year old and this message is my hearts desire for him. We are first generation Christians and I want him to inherit this Godly legacy to pass onto his next generation! Thankyou xxx

Our family just LOVES Voddie Baucham! We were priviledged to get to be under his preaching at our homeschool conference last summer! He really inspired and edified us further than we thought we could go! He's JUST as real in person as he seems here! Great man of God! But, wow! What a message! It's a reminder of the things I did wrong with my older/grown children. But, also an edification of some things we may be doing right with our youngest, that we are heading in the right direction. We still have a way to go with more study, prayer, and worship, but, that these things we've already been doing with getting in the Word right here, every day, and, praying together are truly what is making such a very strong difference in our son. Thank Father for your promises, thank you, Voddie for the message, and, thank you Tam for posting!

Tam,
Thank you so much for sharing, I have two children under the age of three and my main focus is to raise them to know and serve the Lord willingly. To put him first before everything and hearing this a was just a confirmation that I am doing the right thing by going to the Lord for wisdom and guidance on how to raise them according to the bible. My husband is not a believer so I am basically doing all of this on my own, but I do have faith and know that is time is coming and he will not beable to deny the unconditional love, forgiveness, and grace that our Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ has for us. Thank

I grew up in a home where we went to church we were involved in church but it ended there we didnt have family bible times or share the word with each other..my husbands dad is a pastor and his family rely on the Lord and worship together as a family and are all so close..now with a 6 month old son of my I want to start early with him. every morning we pray for my husband as he is at work and for the start of a new day and at night I read him some verses. he is too young to understand but enjoys hearing me read even so.

That was so encouraging and reaffirming. This is my heart's passion in my family, and I have been feeling like maybe I need to take this message out to others. Now I KNOW that I do, and I feel better equipped to know what to say, and I know that I am on the right path. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thanks for posting this video, it was very interesting and challenging as someone who knows they didn't do a good job of raising her children in a Christian home.
They definately knew I was a Christian and prayed and believed in God having a real impact and influence in our lives. They knew I believed that God was interested in them personally in all details of their life. Now they are older, left home and have children of theri own it is easy to feel guilty of what I should have done! As I grew older and my personal relationship with Jesus developed and grew, I was more able to speak to them about my personal relationship with Him. Not in a 'preaching' way but in small comments and saying 'I'll pray about that', or 'I've been praying about that situation for you'. I just pray that my life and behaviour will be a witness to them, that it is not too late to influence them in the Lords way.

Multi-generational responsibility/legacy!! Duet 6 1-55

Why is this so important? My FAITH is knowing and serving JESUS CHRIST! I must teach my children, my grandchildren how to serve GOD and GOD alone!!! We must hold on with tennacity to the legacy.

Do you worship the 'God of SPORT'? We must not put SPORTS above GOD!

You shall love God with ALL your heart, all your soul, your strength! Act of the will! We must MODEL this toward God and one another!

The Word of GOD shall be seared on my WILL! Ten percent of Americans actually operate of in this Legacy.

UNDERLINE BIBLICAL WORLD VIEW TO OUR CHILDREN.
God said to disciple our children at HOME! TEACH The WORD of GOD to your children!

Be just a few hours ahead of them. Hold one another accountable. We are commanded by GOD to teach our children the Word of GOD!

Make Time for GOD!

Take 10minutes ONE TIME between now and the next Lord's Day and engage in family worship. Read the Word of God to them, Sing a song of praise, and Pray with them. Lay it on the line and don't give up. Mark your home that it is GODS TERRITORY!

We must be willing to keep our prosperity in check. God is the giver! don't let the stuff have you.

"Train up a child in the way he should go and he shall never depart from it." There is no tool other than HOME!

This Video opened up my heart, soul, and my mind to rejuvenate the WORD of GOD in my home with my teenager. I loved it. i am going to start being a couple of hours ahead of my child in the morning. I am going to pray that GOD show me what is needed in my home SO I can become a responsible single mother of GOD!!

Thank you for this awesome Word!

Ms. Tam thank you so much for this video. a little over a year ago the Lord had put it on my heart to do more. so my husband and i started having prayer and scriptures on the nights we didn't have church. we would have our children tell us what they thought the word ment and that has allowed them to to be accountable for their actions. and allowed us to study Gods word to beable to give an answer to their questions.and about sex i explained to my children that their bodies are gifts from God for their husband or wife and no one wants a gift thats already been open and that God honors marriages not hookups. God Bless you and your Family son is 14 and daughter is 15

Very good message,it's always good to be encouraged concerning our children and grandchildren. As grandparents we have a responsibility to pass that knowledge to our grandchildren. There have been difficult times when my adult kids strayed from the mark, and I had to do what I could to remind them and teach the little ones. There's a good chance no one else will if we don't.I don't want to leave my grandchildren to the mercy of the world. We have to sow into them while we can,and as grandparents we do have influence over them.I know if it wasn't for my own maternal grandmother I would not be writing this today. But I saw Jesus in her unconditional love for me and the way she conducted her life and I wanted to be like her. This message is a good reminder to all who listen of the profound effect we can have on our children and grandchildren.I'm glad it was posted and I took the time to listen.
Thank you,Miss Tam for caring enough to share this.God bless you.

Ladies, all the glory goes to God, but you are very welcome. This message is something we moms (and even dads) really need to heed and start listening to God more in front of our children. If we don't witness to them in the home, they aren't going to know how to live their lives for Him fully!

Yes, feel free to share, post and do whatever. Let's take whatever steps we need to so that we can reclaim our families and our homes for His will!

This video is so powerful! I have to say that this video gave me such a thankful spirit that I was just overcome with tears. God shows me so many things in my walk that I am awed at the fact that He has looked on me with purpose! The day I met my precious step daughter, I looked at her and knew God had brought her into my life so that I could share the gospel with her, lead her to salvation and train her up for the building of God's kingdom . When I birthed my first child, I was in complete awe, I sat in my bed and gave praise to God and was overcome with a sense that these two precious girls were going to live passionately for the Lord. I knew that every day would be a day I would train them up for the building of God's kingdom. I named her Rory, meaning "In God's grace." When God blessed my womb for the second time, I birthed my son and gave him the name Seth, meaning "anointed by God" and Elijah meaning "God is Lord." I gave them these names because I believe that God's calling for them started as soon as He planted their life within me. I know God led me to this video because there are a a select few of my friends who desperately need to hear this message! As we attempt to speak the truth to others we love, many of the times, they disregard it because we are so well acquainted, but many times it takes hearing it from another party to understand it. Thank you so much for sharing this video!! I hope you don't mind if I share this on my profile? Blessings to you sister and I pray God continues to use you mightily!

I really loved the video. My daughter is 9 months old and I was just talking to my mother about how I need to really nail down what I want for Adalynn. I have a firm idea about who I want to be and am still getting there, but even if she remembers me as less than I'd like her too, I want her to be able to carry herself in the way of the Lord despite my many faults.

What an incredible first message for me to hear a moment after I stumbled ( or was led) to this site on Circle of Moms. Very powerful to hear the Truth already written on my heart and in my spirit voiced in such a clear way. For our children may each of us always grow in the wisdom and the "tenacity" he speaks of in creating a legacy for our families. Thaks for sharing!

This sermon never grows old. It is so important, and something new sticks with me every time! What we teach our kids sticks with them forever. And we really do only get one chance to do it right. We can change, and still make powerful differences but it is easier to do it right from the get go!

That was wonderful! I enjoyed every second of it. With every sermon at church I fill that God is talking directly to me through the preached word, and again I found God talking directly to me through this message. I find myself humbled. We seldom listen to gospil music in our home and do not pray near as much as we should infront of our children. I do stress to my children that all good things come from God. We go to church three times a week and I stress the importance of doing so. I just need to stess a bit more how important it is to serve God all day every day! God bless you all!

Sandy, wasn't it phenomenal? God really gave him a gift and passion for families and it shows. I hear ya, we did that for years (read stories and let church do so much more). Those stories are good, but like "candy", not filling. We need to use those as treats, making sure they get fed first. So glad it blessed you! We women are the home keepers, and it's so much more than physical...we need to claim our homes and children for God!

Kathy, how awesome that you got this early! I'm one of those ones that he talks about wishing they'd heard this message years ago, lol. But it's not to late to start or for you, too early!

Tam, thank you so much for this FANTASTIC sermon! I so needed it! I can get caught up in the "oh, if I read a story like David and Goliath, Jonah and the Whale to my son, then I'm feeding him the word". It's so much more than that! I am guilty of not making time for family worship/bible study and I will truly make it a priority this week. In a world that is so carnal, it's so important for my family to be set apart... be true to God's word. It's not the popular thing to do these days... but it's the right one.

Tam Nothing to be sorry about. I am not a grandma yet. Neither daughter are ready for children and they both will tell any one that asks that yes they would like children . Just not know. You are right I can make the same impact on any grand children my husband and I may end up with, just like my husbands mom and dad made with our daughters. When they were little and they spent a day or two with his parents, they were like little tea bags that had been steeped in Gods word, Bible stories, Sunday School songs and "Davie and Goliath videos. AS they have gotten older she has traveled with both of our daughters, and Prayed daily for their lives.

Tam, as a mom of grown children this was a REALLY HARD video to listen to. Yes we took our daughters to church, we Prayed before meals and before bedtime, took stabs at Family Worship, talked about the why we did things the way we did,(Biblical Word View). BUT I can also see where we dropped the ball at times and even allowed it to go out of bounds at times. I have e-mailed this video to both of my girls with an apology for when we did drop the ball. Thank You for posting this video.----- I am not in the mist of a pity party or looking for "You were only human" type responses, ONLY stating the truth and hopefully warning our young moms with children still in their homes to stay the course and finnish the race. I apology if my last statement sounds mean or rude, I just know in my own live where I failed and what harm that caused our daughters. I thank GOD every day that both of our daughters are now Living For the Lord. I am thankful as I look back over their lives that Rick and I started Praying for our daughters from the day he asked me to marry him. WE were engaged for almost 6 years, and had our first breathing child 2 days short of 4 year of marriage.(Our first child went directly into the arm of Jesus at 6 weeks of development.)
