Hi:
I am looking for a devotional for my 12 year old daughter. She is struggling with low self esteem, confidence. She battles with negative thoughts and worry.

When I was a teen I read the 40 day devotional by Rebecca St. James. Sorry, don't remember the title. If you can find it, its great!

I really want to suggest FindYourTrueBeauty.com It is a great Christian based website for teens and preteens. If you (or your daughter) sign up for the newsletter you can download her book for free. There is also a Bible study that you can download, and just tons of other resources for teen girls. I'm not sure if there is a devotional, but it's worth checking out.

I think it's by Josh McDowell but a great book that I read as a 18 or 19 year old was "See Yourself as God Sees You." Although I think I heard somewhere the title was changed. It's very Biblical and helped me alot.
Another thing to do if you want to save money is teach her how to use a concordance and do her own study. Have her looks up key words or phrases, the "I am"s in Christ, etc and journal the verses and her thoughts. So often I look for the perfect book to solve my issue when most of the time I could have saved my money and just spent more time in my Bible!!
If she currently doesn't have any type of quiet time or daily guide to reading the Bible, our church sponsors a great ministry called Word of Life. They provide age appropriate daily quiet times to help the kids develop the habit of being in God's WOrd daily. You can still buy them even if your church isn't affiliated. They're like $16 or 18 dollars at wol.org
Good luck- I hated my teens years! She probably feels like she is the only one but find a way to assure her most teens go through those feelings and it's quite common with the hormones and emotions. I know that doesn't help as she's going through it but it might help get her through it.
