Since having my baby boy 5 months ago I have struggled to get back into a regular quiet time routine. It is hard as each day is so different. Also, I find that the times I have found a quiet moment to read my bible I am finding it hard to switch off from things that need doing or trying to rush as Zeke generally only sleeps for 30 mins at a time during the day which goes so quickly. Any ideas?

I get up an hour each day before my son and husband gets up so i can have some quite time. It really helps me alot. I get up get dressed and come down stairs and have coffee while I say my prayers and talk with God. Then I get him up make breakfast and start my day. If I get out of routine then I feel something is missing. Especially if he is not with my parents on a Saturday morning and gets me up. When he was a baby I would try to do it in the morning when he was sleeping but it was hard.

I try and get up an hour before my kids so that I can shower, and read my Bible before I have any distractions. Then I always read again before bed. However I will admit that I wasn't able to pull either one of those off until my twins learned to sleep through the night, before that I was just too tired! One thing that I have done is to post scriptures around my house, then if there is a day that I can't sit down and read, I can still read the scriptures that are posted and have a little inspiration. It also helps with memorization. Oh, and I also try and read while I eat lunch. It doesn't work if you are trying to feed your baby too though.
