Kristi: I know you mean well, but why worry when we can pray for our children. Our children learn from our example. You sound like a great Mom. God Bless you this year.

Quoting Kristi:

Thank you Winnie. Hope your New Year was good as well. Although I always feel guilty not being able to spend time with my kids/grandkids. My kids tell me not to feel guilty, that they have their own lives and I shouldn't worry so much about theirs. I guess I can seek some comfort in knowing God is with them. There were so many times while I was bringing my children up myself, that He was there for me...I can seek solace in the fact that He will be there for them too. They are both in there early 20s and have 2 kids each. My daughter is being pulled both ways (as many young parents have a problem with). Her friends without children all want her to go out and party, and her inner self tells her how important her kids are. I try to be supportive and to let her know what a great Mom she is, but sometimes she just sees me as the meddling Mom. My son (although 2 yrs younger than my daughter) is the more mature of the 2. He is an excellent provider for his family (girlfriend and 2 kids) and I am very proud of him. Yes, I have told him that. The main thing I worry about with him, is that he is very full of stress...a high anxiety person. These things will eventually take care of themselves hopefully, but that doesn't stop me from worrying. I am a Mom...that's my job.

Happy New Year to you as well. It's a blessing & count it a priveledge that God allowed me & my family another year of life. We are looking forward to what God has instored for us this new year. Praying for all those in the circle of friends. I realize there are many, however after reading some of the post we need to pray for many of these young moms some who are single or about to be mommies. I pray I can be an encouragement to all.

Praise the Lord Winnie,
It feel so good to be able to communicate with God's people. I pray you have a Happy New year. May God smile upon and keep you in all your endeavors. This will be a blessed year for all of God's family. He let me know that in 2009 we will be fine and He will show up on time. We will not lack in this season no matter what things look like or feel like, God has everything under control. Take care.

we all went to bed early around here-missed the ball drop. me nor my husband drink so i don't believe we missed anything. we did get a phone call at 1:15 am from my husbands ex-wife, whose kids we have full custody of. she was going to be arrested if someone didn't come get her- bith her and the driver was very intoxicated. my husband drove 2 hours to pick her up. i would love to be angry , but this is a new year and god has too much in store for my family to be angry at another soul for their ignorance. i pray she will one day be a part of our christain family.
