Have you ever felt blah?

I feel like I'm in a rut that I can't get out of... just feeling "blah". Kinda like each day is just a day to go through the motions... I know it's been a little rough lately - marriage a little shaky, my grandma just passed away, my mom is depressed, my brother is heart broken - and I don't want a pity party. I just feel "blah"... anyone else felt like that?! I can't even get into my Bible readings... :P I need a boost or something.

I go through periods of time like that. I'm actually just coming out of one. I'm getting ready to start a new Bible study with some friends online and I think that helps. Having encouragement from other believers, and just being excited about the study is really helping me.

Hang in there Rebekah. I know what you mean I have been there more than once, it does get better. I will be praying for you.

Absolutely!! You need a little fun, preferably just the two of you. Find a sitter and go out on a date or make it a weekend getaway. You'd be surprised what it'll do for all the categories you listed. "Me" time is an absolute must as is "couple" time without the kids - no interruptions.

When we are in the desert, sweetheart is when we exercise our faith. When we are on the mountain tops, everything is rosy. But we can't live there.

You have survived your marriage problems, neighbor problems and on and on and you are still here. That says something. But I think the Lord is telling you to press in. Come closer, sit on My lap and talk to me. He has something special for you, Rebekah, I have felt that for some time. Seek until He reveals it.

God bless, honey

Thank you, ladies. It's good to know all of us go through these things at some point... I'm thinking these moments of our life have a meaning to it, I'm just waiting for the day when I get taken out of the desert... for now I will just wait upon the Lord, maybe He is trying to quiet my soul for a little while...

Totally understand, I've felt that many times. Especially recently since I injured my back. In fact I was feeling that way a couple of days ago and God took me to this scripture La 3:22 Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."
It sure encouraged me, I hope it does the same for you too.xx

Hi Rebekah, I have typed 3 different replays. However I have not had the Peace to "send" any of them. I did want you to know that I think if we were honest, at some time in our Christian walk there are times when we do not feel as alive and excited about our
Christian walk as we usual. Like Heather said having something to look forward of to be excited about helps. I will be Praying for you that The Holy Spirit surrounds you in His Love and Comfort.
