How to talk and what to say to my daughters about the upcoming changes in their bodies

Hi! I'm new to this website. I was very excited to find a place to glean information from like-minded moms. Moms that want to raise our children spiritually. Right now, I have three girls, 8, 6 and 2. My eight year old has started on her female journey with, dare I say it? Breast buds! Aggghhhh! We have an open communicative relationship, but this is my first foray into dealing with this and I want to do it the right way! The Christian way, God's way. Can I get some advice from you christian moms that are in this or past this point with your girls? Help!

The American Girl body book called The Care and Keeping of You is excellent! It's not from a specifically Christian perspective, but it's just about body changes and taking care of yourself properly. I read it w/ my girls when they were 7 (they'll be 9 in December now) and they still read it from time to time.

I have heard that 'Almost Twelve' is a good Christian book for young people about sex, but I'm going to wait another year before getting that one.
