not to take away from those who don't have children....but you can't really understand the Father's unconditional love for us until you're a parent. to love another so much that nothing, absolutely nothing they do can change that love you have. i've learned, that like w/ God, your children may turn away from you, but you will always be there when the prodigal child decides to come home. i've also learned that though you pray for them alot as babies & small children those prayers are usually for their safety....etc. but as they grow up you pray in earnest for their salvation & conversion!

Christy welcome to Christian Mommies.
Our daughters are 26 and soon to e 22. When my husband asked me to Merry him we began to Pray for our children that God would someday Bless us with. We also have found that over the years our Prayers have changed. But once a parent always a Parent and we remain Praying parents for our adult daughters. Believe me when I say it is NOT BECAUSE we are such spiritual giants BUT BECAUSE we make mistakes often even now as we parent/guide our children.

When my son was born(14 yrs ago) . The first thing I said was how can you love somebody this much the first time you meet them. I still feel that way today. As a christian parent we are supposed to pray for the guidance of our children. You are right as time goes on my prayers change as he changes. It is an inspiration to me to meet other moms like yourself you believe in the Lord and wants to raise Godly children. God bless you and yours, and I hope I get to correspond with you again.
