Can someone tell me why conversations get locked? I go to read topics that interest me, and they get locked but don't say why. I don't see what is wrong with the conversations for the most part.

At the top of the threads that you start, such as this one you should have something that says options (right above your picture) if you click on it it should give you the option to close the conversation to further comments which would lock it.
As I said, if the admin team closes the conversation we put a post at the bottom stating that we did so, and why. We also usually message the original poster and let them know. We are not perfect and make mistakes, but that is what we try to do each and every time we get involved.

Some conversations are locked by the original posters, they don't always say why. It could be that they got the answer that they were looking for, or they were getting answers they didn't want... any number of reasons really. Usually if the admin team closes the conversation we explain why with a message at the bottom of the thread. If there is a certain thread in question you can always message me or a moderator and ask and we can let you know, or find out for you if we are uncertain.
