Has anyone seen a movie lately that was good? Not just the plot line, but the visuals and language were clean? I would like to watch some movies with my hubby, but can't find anything clean that isn't corny.

Like Dandelion Dust.... Came out in 2009 but I just watched it the other day.... Will def make u cry!!!!! Also have heard good things about Courageous - same producers as Fireproof- the other suggestions are also good, the websites are helpful becuz they'll give u up-to-date info....

Lots of the movies recommended here are on YouTube - free! I often find good movies there! They upload them in sections of 10 or 15 minutes and there are a few sections that you watch in sequence until you've seen the whole film!
There are lots of old-fashioned classic movies as well that you might enjoy. It doesn't matter how old it is, all that matters is that it's a good film that you haven't seen before! My personal favourite is RANDOM HARVEST which is a lovely story and a bit of a weepie, LOL!!

The latest "National Treasure" movie with Nicholas Cage was good. I believe the title was
"National Treasure: Book of Secrets". I don't think there was much, if any, foul language.
There was an undercurrent of romance between some of the characters but nothing graphic. It was an adventure-type movie, which men enjoy, so your husband would probably like this movie. If you haven't seen the first "National Treasure" movie, you'll want to rent it and watch it first as the "Book of Secrets" is the sequel to the first movie. The latest "Indiana Jones" movie with Harrison Ford was also good; lots of action, an undercurrent of romance, a good storyline. We don't go to the theater often because it's so expensive but if I think of any other movies that I think you'd enjoy, I'll let you know.
P.S. If you haven't seen it, go out and buy "Remember the Titans". This movie is about 8 or 9 years old. It stars Denzel Washington as the newly hired football coach at a newly integrated high school in Alexandria, Virginia during the 60's. This movie is based on a true story and it is great! One of my alltime favorites. There is no sex and no bad language. You can pick up "Remember the Titans" at Walmart for less than $10.00 and you'll probably want to watch it over and over. "Facing the Giants" is also good, it's about the football team (and their coach) at a Christian High School. There is no foul language and no sex in this movie. You can probably find this movie at your local movie rental store or you may be able to purchase it at your Christian book store. Movies based on Nicholas Sparks' books are also very good: A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, The Wedding, The Guardian, The Rescue. Some of these movies are currently in production so you may not find them in your movie rental store but hopefully, you'll find some of them. Do you get the Hallmark Channel?
They have a lot of good movies that are good and clean. Check them out.

Tyler Perry movies are great!! He always has God and faith at the heart of all of his movies!! Family is always important part of his movies also!

Some Christian book stores also sell a product that is made to edit content out of movies (language, etc.). You do have to buy memberships to keep the software updated, but it edits the movie to one you would see on a plane.
My sis-in-law talked to a local video store owner and he said that they have tried to get movie companies to release the edited version for rental/sale and they will not do it. I think they would make more money if they did, because the stuff is not needed to make the movie good.

Oh, Fly Wheel is a fantastic movie! My husband cried his way through that one. We also liked Firefly (I think it had Kevin Costner in it).

Fireproof, Faith like Potatoes, Amazing Grace, Facing the Giants, Not easily broken.... those are a few that I really like. There are lots of others if you go to the Christian Family Store. Or you can go online and read the ratings, and overview. Here is a link:

Check out Fly Wheel, or Fireproof, or Facing the Titian. All on DVD. Check the Dove Entertainment website. Also check on screenit.com. Don't sign up, just go into the free listing. It will most movies that have been out for a least a week & give you a breakdown of it. Great tool for movie goers who don't want the language & stuff.
