Ok, I found a few recipes on my computer. If you want I can email you them. Just let me know. 3 cookie recipes, all are on kidswithfoodallergies but you do have to pay and register for that so if you want something quick I'll be glad to pass these onto you.

Hi,

Praise God for a diagnosis! I know it is a huge adjustment dealing with food allergies. I recall crying as I walked through the grocery store after we realized our oldest doesn't do well with corn syrup. But, life has gone on and now I'm fully converted to making most of our food from scratch. It is a process but eventually you can eat out and go places with ease. A GF friend says Q' doba (or something like that) is a really great place for their family to eat out.

Glutenfreegobsmacked is a good resource for recipes, also www.kidswithfoodallergies.org (I believe it is)--you can google both and they'll come up. I have a good chocolate chip cookie recipe I think I got off of kidswithfoodallergies and they are very good (dairy free, egg free, gluten free). One tip a seasoned GF mom shared with me was sweet rice flour for delicate foods. Authentic Foods sells it but I've not seen it from other brands. Glutenfreegobsmacked has a good bread recipe. My 7yo dd likes Tapioca bread more than brown rice flour bread. We don't have celiac but with multiple food allergies my dd is sensitive to gluten and has to watch her wheat intake. I bought a mill to make my own flour and suggest that if the cost of buying GF flours gets to be too much. The mills aren't cheap but over time are worth it IMO. Breadbeckers is my source for bread making and they are adding more gluten free stuff all the time (lots with beans for the protein). Anyhow, I have a 7yo dd with peanut, tree nut, soy, fish, shellfish, corn syrup is a no no for her, and she has an egg allergy, plus we watch her wheat/gluten intake. My 5yo dd is allergic to kiwi and dairy (though she can live with a little here and there) and my 3yo ds is allergic to mold, cats and he has to avoid nuts. I'm pretty strictly off dairy, same type of allergy as my 5yo.

I'll see if I have any GF recipes on my computer to send to you.

Take care,

Jennifer

I have 3 children all with food allergies, plus numerous environmental allergies. I don't have children with celiac, but my Mother in law and Sister in law both have celiac. If you need to know anything, let me know. I will try to help as much as I can.
