My name is Kate, & I am a Proud Army Wife. We are currently stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY.
Last night, I had this strong feeling on my heart that just has NOT gone away. So I've started a page (along with my sister-in-law who is a Marine Spouse) called, Mothering Through Deployments. Its for Military Spouses/Moms, like us, who have went through/going through/or about to go through a deployment while trying to raise kids as well.
I've been through 2 deployments, last year being my most recent. It was the worst year of my life. I lost some friends who I was close with in a plane crash, & my Hubby lost friends of his own in an IED. So I was emotionally cut off from him & I had NO ONE here. My 3 toddlers needed me & I felt so alone. Without God, I'm sure I would NOT be here today.
I don't want anyone to go through what I felt. If I can help just one Mom keep it together just a little longer till her Hubby can get back to her, all of this will be worth it.
