Show him "God" - when something comes up that makes you mad, pray together and let God change the attitude. When finances are strained, pray together and let him see God answer the request.

Keep a prayer journal - in my house, my son is 3, I do a prayer tree on the wall. We put up a request every day and put it on the tree, when it's answered we take that leaf and put it at the base of the tree like it fell to the ground. This is a visual to see how God answers us, that God is real, that God cares about everything and shows God at work in your life.

That is showing God to your child.

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

I would resopnd by letting him know about Jesus and then explain that the Lord is in all of us. And the best way for him to see God is through us, that is Gods love daily.

You can't see the wind, yet we believe it's there, because we feel it. We can't see gravity, yet we wouldn't be sitting (or standing) without it. We can't see happiness, but we feel it. We can't see God, yet we feel Him in our heart.

At 3, their world views are limited. Try to help him understand God is all around us, and even though we don't see Him, He's still there to help us. Show him God's beauty that's coming into bloom this time of year. You don't have to be very technical, you'd be surprised at what a child would accept as fact, from his parents.

God bless, sweetheart

OK - I "stole" the following from an Internet chatroom and I liked it:

"Put a marble in his hand and let him know that God is so big that the earth looks smaller than this. Point to your son and say that God is so awesome he created man. God is so loving that he gave himself for his creation. God is our friend, he listens to us, he loves us, and he wants us to let him take care of us. God is so big he can handle anything: eventhough you cant see Him. If you have trouble with this take him to a church that is kid centered that love kids and can explain using object lessons."

Next, read these links for guidance:

After this you can show him the wonders of nature, the world around him and the peaceful atmosphere inside a Church. Explain that God is not "available for viewing" in the general way and as Christians we need to look deeper into our own hearts and carefully into the hearts of others when we seek God - as well as the world around us.

Good luck with this!
