I think it goes in cycles. My kids go through their bratty times & we disipline them etc...Then they go through their well behaved times & we hardly have to address them on anything. It goes on age too. They will always test & push, but ultimately you have to stand your ground.

Ephesians 4:29 tells us Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. While sometimes our children can be difficult we need to work on encouraging them in their walk with God. Help them grow. Yes being a mom can be frustrating, but think of how God thinks of us. We constantly disobey him, we constantly ignore him and do our own thing. We rarely do all of our chores that he has assigned to us, we are the ultimate brats! But he loves us anyway, he doesn't give up on us, he doesn't belittle us, or any of those things. Being a mom should be the same. We have to love our children despite their down falls. No one is perfect, everyone is born with sinful nature. We are to bring them up in God's word, and pray for them.

My youngest daughter was bratty for a long time....I took her to talk with my pastor...and she has matured....she is 8 now and an angel!
