Sooo, this one doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but I came accross it today in Hebrews 7:1-17 where he is compared to Abraham as well as Christ.

Melchizedek

Michael and Matthew are strong, traditional names which I like. I also like Malachi, though. And it means "messenger of God." You could name him Maxwell and call him Max. Maxwell begins with and M and is also seven letters. Hmmm. Let us all know what you decide on.

I love the name Matthew, but I have a great son named Matthew so I am a little biased. Just beware of nicknames and such that other kids can come up with to tease him. That is what a dr. friend told me when I had my kids as others can be so cruel so don;t make it easy with thier name. May God Bless you with a wonderful, healthy child.

Quoting Karla:

Malachi is the evil child in the famous, Stephen King flick- "Children of the Corn" and also has a negative connotation in the bible....

aparently you have been wtching too much TV and not reading  your Bible!!!!! Malachi was a prophet of God and indeed is a v ery Strong name, I gues you would know that if you stayed from in front of the TV  and more focused on the word of God. For you saviorest no the things that be of God, But of man. May the true and Living God bless you and Have mercy on your soul.

Mathias is a good strong name. It will go great for an attorney, doctor, or any other kind of job you can think of. If you like nicknames (which I don't) he can be Matt. Mathias looks good on the football field or in the computer room.
