Prayer Request for Health

Please pray for a friend of mine who has multiple sclerosis and his health is poor. He has finally learned after 10 yrs. of marriage that they are expecting and it breaks my heart that he will not be able to do things that many dads do b/c of his many health restrictions. He is a good man and never ever have I heard him complain about his pain or health problems. Also, they are bullying him at work and trying to go around his health issues and trying to fire him claiming his work is poor but we know its a tactic to get rid of him b/c of his poor health. So please also pray for his job. Please pray for him that God may give him the health and strength to be the amazing dad I know he will be. I really appreciate all prayers. Thanks.

Ya know, Nancy, God never makes mistakes. Sometimes we don't understand why things happen, why we can't be 'normal'. I look at Jonny Ericson Tada in her wheel chair and think 'why didn't You heal her, Lord?' or me, that my health was never really good, but tanked when I was 48. Lord, why didn't You heal me? But then I look at Jonny, in her wheelchair, face radiant, telling about God's love for her. The world thinks she's crazy, but we, as Christians, know that God is with her IN her wheelchair, as He is with us, no matter what the circumstance.

I say this, Nancy, because your friend may NEVER be healed, according to our view of healing. What your friend CAN teach his children is compassion for the disabled, resourcefulness to accomplish tasks within a confinement that others might think they couldn't be accomplished in, unconditional love of Jesus, no matter if we are healed or not. Some day we will fully understand God's Plans, but for now, we must have faith that He knows what He's doing.

Father, we bring Nancy's friend to you. You made his body, and You know Your plans for him. We ask that you heal him. But if this is not to be, then we ask that You show him ways of raising this child in absolute love, in compassion and in wisdom, teaching this child the love of Jesus. We ask that You be with him mightily, and show Yourself to the world through the family. We pray peace and wisdom, love and faith for them, in Jesus' Name, amen.

God bless you, honey, for your care of your friend.
