not a problem as long as you monitor how much she is getting. there is the issue with tooth decay, but that happens with a bottle also. I think it is caused by too much sugar. try giving it to her watered down. Also, don't get the juice where additional sugar is added!

You certainly can introduce a cup but juice is not necessary. It's actually full of sugar and does not offer any nutritional value to your child's diet. If you simply want to train him/her to drink from a cup offer breastmilk/formula or just water. Follow your baby's cues. Some children never need a sippy cup and move right past them to a regular cup. Good luck to you!

IF YOU DO ALLOW IT.. DILUTE THE CHURCH OR REDUCE THE SUGAR THAT IS IN THE JUICE. MY DUAGHTER FACED DENTAL PROBLEMS DUE TO ME ALLOWING THE JUICE IN THE SIPPY CUP. GOOD LUCK

She should be learning to drink out of a cup, sippy or regular, your choice. Juice can be started at 9 months, just make sure that you either buy baby juice, or water it down a lot! We always did 1/8 to 1/4 juice the rest water.

Definitely....and tooth decay comes when you let them carry around the sippy cup and drink too much juice. Also, tooth decay is more so related to letting your child hang on to the bottle too long. Like Darla I watered down my kiddo's juice. Toddlers should get no more than 4 oz of juice a day. My daughter also likes to have water with ice cubes in it..since it rattles as she drinks. :)

Yes! I do 1/2 to 3/4 water mixed with apple juice. This way you don't have to worry so much about the tooth decay issue and my baby loves her watered down juice!! :)

sure, why not? water the juice down half with water so she's not getting all that sugar, though. Try a sippy cup, a straw cup or even a regular cup with no lid. You can teach a kid that age to use a regular cup by putting just a sip in the cup and letting her drink it. It's easier than trying to break the bottle habit and then break the sippy habit. Skip straight to the regular cup. You'll save money that way, too!

Yes. You shouldn't let the child hold on to the bottle for too long. My mom had a hard time breaking my sister off her bottle even after she no longer drank from it. She would just suck on an empty bottle.

Yes the sooner your baby shows you they are ready for something don't hold them back . Take your cue from them. it will be easier to train them enstead of pushing them.

The only thing with sippy cups is that they help to cause tooth decay in young & developing baby teeth. We had a whole problem with that with my oldest, so with my younger two we started straight off with a regular plastic beaker, we had a couple of spills, but nothing big as I only put a little drop in at a time & just filled it up as they drank it.
