Sin and also spirits.

My dad was a pentecostal preacher. I grew up going to church yet at the same time I was being sexually abused by my brothers. I heard my dad abused my older sister before he got saved. I know this went on for generations. Adultery and fornication and all manner of sexual sins were rampant in my family for generations. Before I got saved I was a wild child. Because of my upbringing and wrong choice I made before Jesus, doors were opened in my life to these spirits and other kinds of spirits.. After I got saved God started opening my eyes to these spirits in my life and their influences on me. Satan is a master of disguise. The Lord showed me these spirits were influencing me in ways I wasn't aware of. I had to take a stand against them and let them know they are no longer wanted in my life and close those doors. Yes a descendant can still suffer for the sins of their ancestors until a stand is made and these spirits are cast out. Remember they can't come in unless invited. First you must realize the areas in your life where you have allowed them access. repent and then denounce them in the name of Jesus. There are spirits in your house and they are NOT kind. Get rid of them. This is a serious matter. I don't want to scare you but you have to take authority over these spirits in the name of Jesus. I would also suggest you start believing "in this sort of stuff". Before you do spiritual battle though make sure you have all sins under the blood and there is nothing they can use against you. hmm the Bible speeks of generational sin tho that is an OT belief for those who trust and beleive in Jesus as Christ are not subject to their fathers sin for it has been forgiven.
Tho curses. ..thats different(i have not studied that much what so ever and i do not clame i am fully right about them what so ever~) i have prayed over curses and the understanding of sins and i have come to the blieve that senice God has cursed the ground other can do so as well.
I have the gift of spiritual discernment that is talked about in 1 Corinthians 12:7-10,11.
i have found that some ppl are riddled with evil(or on easy feeling) spirits and some with good/worm loving feeling spirits.(believing that the good ones are angles of God for nothing out side of God can be truly good.) And i have come across areas of land(its self) that was riddled with evil spirits.
I do not beleive a true Christian can be possesed by an evil spirit i do believe that a Christian can be demonized. To be hunted or influenced by demans(evil spirits). From their own wrongful acts or the acts of others.(family or not) it is a best to seek out help from other believers(in person) and hve them pray over You and Your family with in side Your house or out side of it.
Keeping in mind if it is the land praying out loud will do nothing to brake the land/house of the evil spirit but keeping in faith that God has full controle of everything in it. Pray that You and You family will be able to deal with the spirits in the house(or if it is trying to hurt a person in the family). holy water and other objects have no controle over a spirit. its is Faith and God alone that can brake the link or any kind if influence of demons.

Yes, people suffer from generational sin all the time. I think, however, that the sin is passed onto the next generation via behaviors learned - anger, pride, anxiety, etc. none of those are from God. (my own family suffers from some of those, even though we are all baptized believers. My sister & I have recognized them in ourselves and, through God's help, have broken those behaviors in our family branches.

Your spirit is NOT of God, cast it out!

The bible does talk about the sins of the previous generations being passed down. The best thing you can do is pray that God will break the curse/sin off of your children. Pray that God rest in your home and that His peace be there. Where you ask God to reside, satan can not go there!!! You have to take authority over your home. Just make sure that you don't invite evil into your home (innocently) by things you watch on tv and maybe idols that you have in your home. (ie:statues & other things from other religions that don't agree with your beliefs)

Once you are born again, baptised and a new creation in Christ Jesus your geneology goes directly back to Jesus - He is your Father. You are now a Spirit filled being. How can you possibly have a generational curse, when your generation goes straight to Jesus. It is an Old Covenant - Legalistic approach, which des not recognize the Attonement and all its benefits. What you may have is a demonic spirit - which manifests in various forms, sickness, disease, oppression,,,and that is very different. Jesus said we are to "cast out demons". Demons usually manifest in various forms ie if you are paralysed we would cast out a spirit of paralysis or palsy. I hope this is helpful.

We found that sometimes bringing something into the house that may appear harmless, may actually have something attached to it, for example, we were given a second hand bed by a lady who along with her 11 year old son is into wizardology,etc. It was her son's bed and my son (6) could not sleep in it. He said he had nightmares every night. We then tested our theory (that there was more to the bed than just wood) and put it in our daughter's (4) room. She had exactly the same experience. We removed the bed straight away and prayed for God to cleanse the house and cover both the house and us and the children are now sleeping through the night. You could think about the time things started moving around etc in your home and see if there was something new brought into your home around that time. Either way, prayer and God are the only thing that can give you your house back :)

My husband and I lived for four yeaers in a house that was possessed. I was raised that those things don't happen now. Well, they do. And there is nothing in scriptures that says spirits/demons quit being active after Jesus rose from the dead. Quite the opposite. I consider the four years I lived there my spiritual bootcamp. Wouldn't want to do it again but I thank God for the experience. I thought I was going crazy until a Christian neighbor was telling me something that had happened in her past and I realized what was going on. And when the demons attacked my daughter who was under two...I declared war for real! There is no short response to your questions but I would like to help. 1. If you are a Christian, you have power over demons, spirits, whatever. 2. Learn your word. Ask God to show you what scriptures to use. The word is our sword as it says in Ephesians. 3. Fast, pray, annoint your home and seek God with all your heart. 4. Take praise to a higher level. Let me know if there's anything I can do, if you just need encouragement, prayer or whatever.

Victoria is right about generational sin. You are not responsible for anyones sin but your own.
As for that spirit, it is NOT of God. If God chose to send a spirit to you, it would carry a message and you would feel no fear or anxiety. You must cast the spirit out of your home in the name of Jesus Christ. If you do not feel that your faith is strong enough, get your Pastor or elders of your church to help. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you and your home with his presence, so no other spirits can re-enter.

IF YOU YOUR PART OF YOUR FAMILY DIPPED INTO ANY SATAN WITCH CRAFT, AND YOU DON'T DENOUCE THAT SIN IN YOUR LIFE, IT WILL TRY TO SHOW ITSELF AGAIN... i believe in evil spirts that can show themselves i have cast our evil spirts in ppl and homes. SO YES TO YOUR QUESTION, ASK YOUR PASTOR FIRST TO SEE IF HE CAN HELP YOU AND BELIEVES IN THE SPIRT WORLD, SOME PASTORSDON'T BLIEVE IN CASTING OUT SPIRTS . HAVE YOURSELF DEMAND THE SPIRT TO LEAVE AND HAVE YOUR HOME BLESSED. BUT REMEMBER THAT YOU NEED TO REFLECT TO SEE IF YOU YOUR HUBBY HAS DONE SOMETHING IN YOUR PAST TO HAVE THIS PARENORMAL ACTIVITY HAPPENING.

Interesting as I am reading Hosea and it made me think of this topic. I am unsure of the expression generational sin so I will answer in two parts and hopefully one will help. As individuals we can not be made to sin because of the sin our ancestors. He has given each of us free-will which allows us a choice to follow Him or not. As humans we inherently have a sinful nature - all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. That is why we need Jesus Christ...He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Now, can we suffer from the sins of our ancestors? Based on my current knowledge of His Word, yes. Are we not paying the consequence of Adam and Eve's decision to sin in the garden (Gen 3)? We live in a corrupt world where free-will can greatly impact our quality of life here on earth. God does forgive but that does not mean He erases the consequence of our sins which often impact many others and often those closest to us. Could He restore us and others from the consequence of sin - absolutely. I strongly encourage you to bring this concern to Him in prayer and to read the Bible. He will reveal the truth to you regarding your situation. If you have not repented and do not believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins it will be hard to learn the truth as our sinful nature separates us from Him.

I do believe in evil spirits as they are present in the Bible. I have not read where any of the spirits were 'human' and I've not read where there are Godly spirits other than the Holy Spirit which is God. I recommend reading Ephesians 6:10 - putting on the armor of God. Again, He will give you wisdom on what to do regarding this. In Him -Kim

Make sure that you are listening to the right kind of music and watching the right kind of movies. Demon spirits can enter people's homes in this way. I know this from experience of a family member. Don't listen or watch anything that you wouldn't watch or listen to or pull up on the Internet if Jesus was coming to your home for dinner. Thinking of it that way will help you set the standard pretty high. You need to cast the demons out of your home in the name of Jesus! If things don't get better ask your Pastor or some other really mature Christians to come into your home and pray with you and help you cast these Spirits out. Also, make sure your heart is right and those of your family. As long as a person has Jesus in there heart, Satan can not possess them. Pray and read the Bible out loud and speak the name of Jesus over and over if you need to and Satan will have to flee.

What is in your home is a demon, they will act how they see fit. I have one in my home right now as well and my pastor is coming over to cleanse the house. You should look into doing the same thing. I'm not sure about generational sin, I will ask my pastor about that and let you know what he says. God Bless.

There are several types of spiritual presence. The link I posted is for The Atlantic Paranormal Society, aka TAPS, who do the show Ghost Hunters on the SyFy channel. You can find information on hauntings on their website. From what I've learned from watching their show, the type of haunting you are dealing with is an intelligent haunting - meaning it knows what it's doing and it's able to communicate with you.

I agree that it is a demonic presence since you and your husband react to each others' accusations in an offensive manner. That just feeds the demons energy and makes it stronger. You need to do tell it to get out of your house in Jesus' name. If this does not stop the strange happenings, then try getting a priest in to bless the house. If the demon is very strong, however, this can just anger it and cause things to get worse to the point of needing an exorcism.

I agree that generational curses are real, but have never heard of generational sins. you need to pray and break the curses if u notice that there is one... like alcoholism, drug abuse, sexual sins... etc. As far as the spirits go, i call them demonic spirits bc they are of the devil. You should annoint your house with oil... the four corners of the home and the doorways, and pray and dedicate your house to the Lord, also cast those spirits out of your home! Take your authority in Christ! I think too many times as Christians we forget our place in the spiritual realm! Satan should be under our feet and have no place in our homes. As far as sin goes if you believe and have confessed, you are covered by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Each person is accountable for themselves.
There are no kind spirits, A spirit other than the Holy Spirit of God our Father, is from one source only, and that is satan. Now if you closely study the bible your research will find that spirits surprisingly have to operate in set ways, Especially reguarding christians. If you rebuke it in the name of Jesus Christ it will have to leave. But I will say this. Demons (spirits) can only come in where they have a way in. Like a hole in a wall there has to be an opening through which they can worm their way in. So alway keep your armor on. It would be a good idea for you both to really get into the word and research. If you believe in God and how he died to save us from our sins and eternal death, you must come to understand that there is another side that will try anything to take you away from him. Anything. Satan's biggest stumbling block for humans is getting us to think that he does not exist, and that goes for spirits too! You do not want to get rid of one just to have it come back with it's friends seven times stronger than before!

First, the blood of Christ covers all sins. It doesn't matter what kind, His blood is powerful. If you have prayed forgiveness, and trusted in Jesus, the sin has been forgiven. I agree with what Victoria said, but strangely I can remember the verse either... Anyway, some sins can be taught to you by your parents, thus every generation will tend to have the same sins, but not a sin that they did that you are held accountable for.

Now, about spirits. If a spirit is trying to communicate with you, or moving stuff or whatever, it is NOT kind. It is playing tricks on you, and it is NOT of God. I agree with Victoria again that you should cast it out of your home in the name of Jesus. Do not try to understand it or communicate with it. The devil is probably using it to draw your curiosity and lure you into his trap. I have seen similar things, and after praying about them and asking God to remove them they were gone.

if there any kind of spirit. is more than likely not of god. one thing that help and make us feel better. even seen we have found the lord we have are home blessed and ask for the lord to fill the house his peace. even then i pray ever night that the lord bless and pertect us sorround us with his angels. i feel and belive all you have to do is ask. sometime you may not get the answer you want but i belive when it comes to safety he'll always answer in a way. i was almost in a car acc. with my son in the back set. i said i could not move then i said oh god help. next thing i now my foot is feels like its being push to the floor and the wheel arms where being turned. so anyways if feel there are spirits i would do as victoria said with the prayer. but that just my point of veiw.

I forget the exact scripture, but the NT tell us that the sins of the parent will not be put upon the children and each person is held accountable for their own sin. Therefore I do not believe in generational sin. However I do believe that there can be generational curses, but once a true -believer is in that linage they can come to God and have that curse removed, it's the same way with generational blessing, which can be stopped by someone walking away from the path of God.



As for the possiblity of a spirit. All I know is that it can Not be of God. You and your husband need to order it out of your home. Say to it in the Name of Jesus' we cast you out of our home, you have no right to be here, you have NOT been invited and you are NOT welcome and send it to the place where the is grinding & nashing of teeth, and then pray for the Holy Spirit to FILL that place with His peace and His prescance, so that another spirit 7 times stronger can't come back.
