I am recently divorced and know how incredibly lonely life can be without my three children.  I have spent days in my pajamas with no desire to do anything or go anywhere.  I am unemployed which adds to the depression.  I have really had to put my trust in God during these times and completely look to Him.  Thankfully he has put some truly great people in my life to make things bearable.  Seek out some people that can be there for you...not just to listen to you but to hang out with and laugh with you.  I have found that laughter truly is a healing gift just as tears are as well.

Thanks for all of the kind words ladies. I feel very blessed that our church just began a womens Bible study group that is providing child care at the church...an answer to prayer. Tonight was the first night and it was WONDERFUL to fellowship with other Christan women. Answer to prayer!

I am not single but I completely agree with the above!  Maybe it's your calling!  I also want to say how much I admirea all you single Christian mommies, I don't know how you do it.  My husband travles for work, and I feel like a single mommy most of the time, as he is gone 20 days out of 30!  God blees you all!

I have said since my husband died, that I knew how to be a christian wife and mother, but I do not know how to be a single christian, not to mention a single mom as well. I am a member of a smaller church and it is pretty much all 2 parent families or college students, I am pretty much the only single mom/parent there. I have been trying to decide if I stay in this church or look for another that may have more to offer me as a single mom. I have been very blessed with a wonderful Woman's Bible Study offered at another church that my kids went to for preschool, and through that group I was invited to join SMILES a single moms in life expecting the sonrise. I can offer the best response that others here have offered, continue to Pray. Just wanted to share my story and thank you for starting this group, it is always nice to know you are not the only one. You know what i am not a single mom , but i always think and beleive single or married we are all women and moms with the same challenges in life so i am in this group because i kind feel like connected to you too....love and may God bless you

My 4 year old son closes all his nightly prayers now with God please bless my mama with a husband.  i think he is tired of me playing with his toys. lol.  my 14 year old daughter tells me daily, I need to get a life.  I pray about this matter but honestly I feel they are my life.  I'm divorced and know that God would have me marry again but marketable I am not.  Pray that I get over the fear of having to divorce again so that I don't hold on to my children too tight.

Pray and Wait on God! He will put the brothers and sisters  in your life you need to grow. You do fit in, you are a part of the body of Christ so your in there.

Thanks girls for all your kind words! I am getting ready to head to church this morning alone as my adorable iittle boys are spending the weekend with their Dad. I am however very excited to go sit in the front row and praise and worship and listen to the word. I think I may take the advice given to address the issue with one of the pastors. My brother actually gave me the same advice a few months back. Happy Sunday Mommies!! :)

I have so been there! I know it can be a really lonely place to be, particularly when you see all the other happy families living in what seems to be the picture perfect life. Honestly though, I think you treasure your children so much more when you ARE their whole world. I'm from Australia so I don't have any real advice about getting in touch with other single christian mums (moms), but if you need to chat to someone that understands fully, I'm more than available!

You are definitely not too old for singles.  I am not from Arizona, but keep putting out safe introductions like you did here in this forum.  There are single moms like you out there you  have to just "bump" into them.  If you are in a large church you might be able to address the question with the pastor.  See if there are other singe moms/dads that he already knows of if you haven't asked that question yet.  Our church doesn't have that area covered specifically, but we have a family ministry that families of all shapes and make ups tend to join.  Good luck and God Bless you and your family.
