How old when your baby started teething? and what did you do for the pain?

Ditto the Baby Orajel, they have two strengths, one for day, one for night. I didn't think the teething tablets worked as well, but that's just me. The wet wash cloth to suck and chew on seemed to help greatly as well. We bought the teething toys, but they liked the washcloth.

I used Orajel or Bonjella (from the UK) at night, in the day I would give my girls a teether or a warm damp face cloth to gum on. My oldest was around 3 months, my middle daughter was around 3-4 months and my youngest was about 3-4 months. If it was bad I would also give them Infant advil, motrin or tylonal.

My son started teething at 3 months old... but didn't cut a tooth until 8 months. I used the Hylands teething tablets, they dissolve fast and gave him relief instantly.
