Trusting in god for healing

Lorraine Alicia - posted on 06/19/2010 ( 9 moms have responded )

I have recently found out that i have a heart problem that doctors say require major heart surgery. I have two young kids age 6 & 8 can not forget my loving and supporting hubby. I have been a christian for many years but i am so taken back by the situation. I know my God can heal but somtimes fear just wants to take over.

I am trusting in God but every day is a battle. I really need mental support and most of all prays.

Thanks in advance

God blessing be upon us all

I could not understand the emotions that you are feeling right now! but I do know that Job and David in the Bible would understand. they went through alot and God was right there with them. turn to God and His Word for the comfort and understanding you need!

Blessings and Prayers to you and Family.

Your right on Lorraine, it is a battle. We must put on the armour of God (Eph 6:10-18) everyday so that we can be protected in the battles we face here on earth. I will pray for you. Keep your eyes on Him.

Lorraine I was born with a Tetralogy of Fallot in 1955. I had surgery Sept 11, 1963. God has been good to me in that I have not had any other problems. I know that God used the surgery to Heal me. I will be Praying for you that God will give you Peace, and that the Doctors will find the right way to treat your Heart Condition.

Praying for you!

If you want a good book that might help, see about reading Fearless by Max Lucado. I think it might help a great deal.

Remember, God will not give us more than we can handle...but we cry out to Him, and say, "I cannot bear it any longer!" But that is the very time, in surrender, that He is holding us close. He never promised our walk on earth would be easy, but he said he would help us bear our burdens, sorrows (Isiah 53). Look at Elijah by the brook Cherith, felt so alone but God was with him every step, even sending the ravens to feed him.

As every day is a battle, it is good to take every day as it comes. God has given you to be faithful to him, He provides the grace that is sufficient. I love what Corrie Ten Boom said (Dutch Christian Holocost survivor) "Worry does not empty tommorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength." or another quote by her. "Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God."

I know you are afraid. But be of good courage. Our God is a God of love and not fear.

I will add you and your family to our prayer box for family worship.
