I started reading the book thinking it was a godly christian book and I was highly intrigued by the title. In the beginning, it tore apart my entire view on christianity and left me wondering so many things and curious how any of it could be true...I became more and more confused and could not allow myself to believe what I was reading! "God" supposedly is having a conversation with a regular man, answering his questions via through the mans writing(the man claims to have no control over what is being written..)"God" supposedly says there is no reason to read the Bible b/c how accurate could those people from 2,00 years ago be compared to the direct source right then and there? At another point, "God" says that there is no need to pray b/c God wont answer our prayers, it is us as humans who are capable to answer our own prayers and that "God" is just there for the show...Now, at this point in the book, the Holy Spirit was definitely telling me this was false information and I remember in the Bible where Jesus clearly said to look out for this kind of thing...so I researched it, and in shock came to this site... http://www.motivationbygrace.org/forums/...
The fact that this man is claiming to have a conversation with God, and is actually, I think, trying to play the role of God, seeing how many lives he can control and destroy with lives in the grips of his hands--is just so distorted and sickening! This book is on Oprahs list of bestsellers, not to mention a worldwide bestseller! People are buying into what this man is saying that God is saying...and if you read your bible you will see that everything he says is false!
PLEASE! I urge anyone who has ever read this book to reconsider their thoughts and let God speak to your heart. Pray and seek knowledge from the Lord and I am sure He will answer if you have faith! If you ever see this book, don't read it! Warn others too!
May God bless all of you
