Oh, My! I have an AWESOME book for you. It's called "Loving Our Kids on Purpose" by Danny Silk. Every parent should at least check it out. Life changing!!!

Parenting that works (Dr Arnold Mol ISBN 1 86823 508 4) - fantastic

How to really love your child is by D Ross Campbell, who also wrote How to really love your grandchild.

I loved Chip Ingram's Effective Parenting in a Defective World. I also read with Love and Logic I thought a mix of the two made a lot of sense.

I haven't read many parenting books - but I did read The Duggars:20 and counting and Michelle Duggar gives some very helpful ideas in the book.

I would recommend Dare to Discipline and the Strong Willed Child both by Dr. Dobson for parenting, also How to Really Love your Child (I can't recall who it is by). For reference books on kids Focus on the Families Complete Care of Baby and Child book. It is really thorough and covers from conception to teens.

I really like Lisa Welchel's books, Creative Corrections and Taking Care of the Me in Mommy. I find myself using them as reference. They are pretty light reads also.

I really liked Sheparding a child's heart by Tedd Tripp. And an old one called Blessings by Gary Smalley, I'm not sure if that one is still in print or not. There is a book that isn't a parenting book, but I think it helped me become a better parent it's The Worth of a Woman's Words by Dianna Booher

If I can add as well, just any good Christian books. I have been reading Beth Moore and just love her money. And our church is fixing to start a womens study group based on her book Ester! I can not wait!!! So any good Christian books to add to the list!
