Ants on a Log - Celery sticks with cream cheese topped with raisins
Aquarium Cups - Blue jello and gummy fish, make the jello and put gummy fish in it, refrigerate in clear cups (looks really cool). Great way to talk about how God created the sea and the animals in it.
Peanut Butter & Pretzel Arks - Need paper plate, smooth peanut butter, thin pretzel sticks, and frosted animal crackers. Fold paper in half with bottom on hte outside. Stand up with the fold at the top (plate should rock). Slather peanut butter on one side like mortar for the pretzels. Stagger pretzels all over the side of the plate. Spread peanut butter on top and down the other side. Stagger pretzels all over the other side of the plate. Put frosted animal crackers across the top. Scripture Reference: Genesis 6:9-15
Fig-Bar Ice Cream Sandwiches - Vanilla ice cream and 2-3 fig bars per child. Remove cardboard from around ice cream and with a sharp knife slice a 1" thick slab of ice cream. Cut the slab into pieces the same size as the fig bars. Cut the fig bar in half and place the cut ice cream inside and put the top of the fig bar on top. Scripture Reference: Genesis 3:1-24 (Teaching about temptation.)
Rocky Road Banana Boats - Unpeeled bananas, Chunky Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chips, and Mini Marshmallows. Wash the bananas and dry. To make the boat, place an unpeeled banana flat on a cutting board. Carefully slice off the top half of the banana horizontally. Spread chunky peanut butter on a boat. Press mini marshmallows and chocolate chips into the peanut butter (represents people and animals). Scripture Reference: Genesis 7:17-24
Chocolate Cherry Crumbling Walls - Need cinnamon graham crackers, can of cherry flavored frosting, and chocolate milk. Build a wall of graham crackers by putting cherry frosting between 4 graham cracker halves. Place the graham crackers in a clear, plastic cup. Slowly power in chocolate milk. Watch to see the graham cracker wall begin to dissolve and crumble in the milk. Use a spool to eat the crumbling walls. Scripture Reference: Joshua 1:1-9; 6:1-16, 20
Mini Muscle Bars - Strawberry gelatin powder, 1/2 cup milk, mini marshmallows, and pretzel sticks. Pour strawberry gelatin powder into a bowl. Pour milk into another bowl. Place a mini marshmallow on both ends of a pretzel stick. Dip a marshmallow into the milk, life, shake, and let excess milk drip back into bowl. Dip the wet marshmallow into the bowl of gelatin powder. Lift, shake, and let excess powder fall back into ball. Repeat for other marshmallow on other end of pretzel. Scripture Reference: Judges 13:1-5; 24, 25; 14:5-6; 16:4-31 (Samson's Strength)
Salty Towers - Need block cheese, saltines, and pepperoni slices. On a cutting board, cut cheese into slices so that they are about the same size of the crackers. Place cheese and a pepperoni slice onto the cracker and serve. Scripture Reference: 1 Kings 16: 29-30; 17:1; 18:1-3, 16-39 (Elijah Prophesies a Famine - to consider the difficulties of a water shortage, make these salty sandwiches and don't serve water until someone asks for it. Discuss how thirsty the crackers make them feel. Remind the children of how thirsty the people must have been before there was rain.)
That's just a few of the snacks that I have that are related to Scriptures and are fast to make. Let me know if you would like to know some others.

My 5yr old son loves tune salad - keep it in a bowl in the fridge: Cook small shell noodles, stir in a spoon or so basil pesto, ad shredded tuna. By this tme he grabs it from me. If I have time, I add some or more of the following: feta, chopped straberry/mango, avo, apple, sweetcorn kernels etc. Loves it.
Otherwise white bread with Nutella (blush!)

Hi Bethany! Here are a couple of suggestions; baby carrots with ranch on the side, celery sticks with peanut butter on them or on the side, rice krispy treats are a snap to make just allow a few minutes to cool, graham crackers with peanut butter topped with banana slices, or even ice cream is quick to serve. Hope that helps!
