I'm 29 weeks pregnant and was just wondering what everyones braxton hicks contractions felt like and how long they lasted, what real labor feels like and what other discomforts you experienced.

I was at the doc a few days ago after experiencing a horrible night of funny aches in my lower belly around my ovaries, it felt like mild menstruation ache not pain or cramping and when I went to the loo my bladder felt contracted afterward for a few seconds. I also get a similar ache in my lower groin between my legs on each side, My legs getting this dead feeling ( Not pins and needles but just dead) as well as lower back ache with some serious bouts of nausea in the mornings but have been unable to eat in the evening due to the pressure sher puts on my stomach and horrible heartburn I get, I also feel overeaten most of the time.

I can't sleep without my arms and legs getting pins and needles or snoring myself awake lol!! One thing I can be greatful for and hope I don't jinx myself by mentioning it, is that I haven't had any problems with constipation.

Thew doc said welcome to the joys of third trimester pregnancy and told me its braxton hicks contractions and pregnancy discomforts.

I was enjoying pregnancy so much, but now just want this baby out lol!!

Pretty interested to hear what you ladies have gone through.........

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

Hi I have a 14 month old boy and he was a big baby. I experienced braxton hicks really bad. It only ever happened at night tho. They feel like cramps a bit like period pain but a little worse. You will know when you are in labour as the contracions will get more painful and they don't just happen a few times they get quicker and when you think one has passed another one comes. The numbness in you legs could be due to the baby laying on a nerve but also I used to get bad leg cramps when I was pregnant. The only way to relieve that was to get my husband (Much to his disgust) on my feet and push them up. If you are wanting the baby out now wait till you go over your due date as I did- I was only 3 days over but I couldn't move I was soooo big but when you give birth to your baby you forget all of the discomforts and enjoy your baby as I did and still am today even though he was 10 pound 6 (4.2kgs) Hope all goes well and that you are blessed with your baby. God bless Emma

I have 4 wonderful children and I loved being pregnant even though I was sick for all of it with my first 2, 6-7 months with my 3rd and about 4 months with my 4th, I had morning, more like all day, sickness, charlie horses in my legs, heartburn, tingling and numbness. Every sympton you are having seem normal as I had them. One thing that helped is to eat small amounts more often, instead of full meals. Crackers might help with the nauseaness. Try and remember that at the end of all of this you will have a beautiful child to love and hold. If I could have I would have had more kids but 4 is enough and now that they are all grown and on their own, I look back and wonder were the time wnet and honestly, with all the problems I had wit h my pregnancies, I would do it all over again. I had different problems with all 4 of them. I am not going to tell you as you need to focus on your pregnancy and enjoy it. I just want to encourage you that it is all so worth it. May God Bless You In the final weeks of your pregnancy and My he Bless You with a beuatiful healthy little one to love.

Well, I hate being pregnant because I get so sick when I am. It's hard to enjoy when you feel so bad all of the time. I don't remember having braxton hicks with my 1st, but with my 2nd and 3rd they began earlier with each pregnancy. Sometimes a bit painful but more just uncomfortable. If the baby is sitting on a nerve it can make you numb. I personally never experienced it, but read a lot about it from other moms online. I think the tingles come from that.

As for heartburn, I got that bad every time. Not at all fun.
