Just wondering if anyone has read any of "The Power of Praying" books. Thought I would ask around before I bought it. Or actually, any other devotional type books suggestions would be nice. I grew up going to church off and on, and have always believed... whether living my life right or not. I guess being a mommy now, I feel more of a responsibility to my family and self to be more knowledgeable about my faith. I just have a craving and new excitement to learn more about God. :)

Hi Shanna, If you are talking about Stormy Omartian"s Books "The Power of a Praying Parent, "..... Wife", ".... Christmas Prayer" I have read the Wife and Parent book. They are wonderful. BUT if you think they are a quick fix for the people in your life to do things your way, you will be disappointed. Stormy points out that often Prayer results in our changing also. This was hard for me to read concerning the Wife book. I finally grew up and read it and Praying for my husband the way a should have been all along.



These would be great books to read as part of this group.
