i have only been to church a few times since my moms funeral it was awful the pastors ulogy of my mother was hurtful and degradeing i dont understand why he chose to say the things he did in front of my younger siblings and my grandmother we have been members of the this church all my life and all my moms life my grandmother still attends every sunday people actually walked out this really test my beliefs i love the lord for he has heard my crys but lately it seems hes not listening i want to go back to church but even more i want my old relationship with god back i still send the kids to church but it seems that everything in my life is falling no matter how much i pray are what i do

The only reason the Church is imperfect is because it is full of people. :) It sounds like you need to find another church to attend! Don't be afraid to look for another one. You need to find a place where you are nourished and can grow. It sounds like where you currently are is not providing that for you. This doesn't mean "if life isn't easy, move on," but that if you search your soul and the only real reason you attend where you do is because you have since you were small, and you aren't being challenged or given the spiritual food you need... then it might be time for a move.

Hang in there. God never left you. Sometimes he uses difficult situations to compel us to make a change. I know this from experience.

Remember that God didn't say those things, a pastor did. Pastors are still sinful men. They will be held to higher standards than the rest of us. I would recommend letting him know that his words hurt you, and possibly find a new church (let him know why). A funeral is not a place for something like that. Ever. I will pray for you.

I feel you girl, but you know he promised to never leave us nor forsake us. This is a walk of faith, we just have to believe what his word says and not go off of our feelings. I was reading James this morning chapter 1 verse 3 says "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience" verse 4 says "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." Sometimes we just have to patiently wait on the Lord of our lives until he gives us an answer or lifts the burden. Sometimes he just has us in the fire (and that is what I believe everything in your life falling around you is) so we can learn to trust him more fully and things like that. If you need em, I will give you scriptures that you can stand on against the enemy with. Love ya, girl.
