Being a mom is sometimes stressful or overwhelming. Moms, what do you do to relax or recharge? As for me, reading, praying, listening to calming music while taking baths.

When my kids all lived at home, I'd always resort to a long, hot, bubble bath by candlelight, with some relaxing music on. I had alot of talks with Jesus in that tub, too. lol Now, that they no longer live here, there is peace & quiet all the time. lol

Shop, go for a walk, spend 30 minutes in my room with the door closed either reading a magazine, book or thumbing through catalogs, take a bath, bake, play on CoM's (LOL), watch a movie, play with the dogs, hang out with my kids (they're older...20 and 17), play on the Wii...oh, so many things :)

I have recently started taekwando class, which is a big stress reliever! I also relax in the bathtub with a good book.

It is a lot of ways mother can relax, we can go somewhere we really like to relax, like the movie, out to eat, go to the library, listen to our favorite song, reading our favorite books, praying, go walking, and whatever come to our mind. We as christian women, we have to enjoy ourselves, but not in a bad way, but in a good christian way. so, Ms. or Mrs. William I wish you the best in enjoying and relaxing yourself.

Coffee or lunch with a friend is always fun - or a date night with my husband. Sometimes my husband will keep the boys for me to have some time alone if it's been a super tough day. On these nights, I'll usually go to a coffee house or the book store to relax. He did send me to a spa once. That was A-W-E-S-O-M-E.

I pick up the cross stich and sew or read. I also love to take a long relaxing bath. Helps to wash the stress away.

It's extremely important that as moms we learn to take time for ourselves, for sure. I enjoy talking to and meeting new people in online communities (like Facebook and this one), reading books on network marketing and on health-related issues, and exercising. Another thing I do is apply a drop of a therapeutic-grade blend of oils called Peace and Calming, which smells great and really relaxes me within minutes; another one I like is a roll-one type called "Stress Away"

I too enjoy a long bath with candels or arroma theropy is a great addition. Taking a bath in candle light is nice but you need an craked window or you can't light the flame, found out the hard way. Most importantly have a bed time for young ones if posible your adult time is important. I'm a mom of 5 of my own and 2 steps I treasure my alone times!

I have a lot of different music, some Messianic Jewish in nature, Jesus Culture, Mercy Me, the whole range of music. I put the music on loud and either dance, or cry, whichever strikes me at the time. A hot bath while reading the Bible (my husband made me a Bible holder that went across the tub so I have pen, paper, etc. When I am in peril, I read Psalms, and see how God protected David.
God bless
