Any time I can do something to make less work for myself I will, so when I just recently realized something I was doing to avoid work I thought "oh goodness, dont let anyone find out about this"...which is why I am sharing with you all! :D

We live in an apartment on the second story. Its a small complex so taking out the garbage just means walking down the steps and across 4 parking spaces. But for some reason my husband would let 1-2 bags of garbage sit on our front step before he'd take them down. Which I HATED! Its gross! Well, we finally ran out of garbage bags the other week (we had a HUGE box from Bj's with about 300 bags) and I havent bought more! He has to take the garbage when the can is full, no option, it HAS to go out. Now I know the can gets dirty and I know it seems unsightly but I cant help but enjoy the garbage going out on a daily basis. ;)

Ok...girls you are going to be so jealous...LOL...my husband takes out the trash everyday...yes, everyday...he helps around the house when I need the help...and I stay at home...he works full time and is adding an addition to our home...and took out a wall in my kitchen the night before last...he goes to the store without getting upset at me for asking, runs errands for me, and still takes out the trash everyday...lol. BTW, this is my second husband...I've already paid the dues from the first marriage...got a keeper this time around...and I am so happy!

It sounds like more of a discipline problem on your husband's part. He likely does not think to take out the garbage daily. Many men will ignore a job, waiting for you to do the chore yourself. If he responds well to doing other jobs around the house, then count your blessings. Using the bags is the cleaner way to go, so you might ask him, "Do you think if we buy another box of garbage bags, you would remember to take out the garbage regularly?"

Sarah :) Hubby is learning. It takes men more time for things to sink in than women, and, he too, does things the easy way. It's not their 'nest', it's a woman's. She wants her nest neat, he could care less, literally! You will just have to be creative to figure out how to get him to do the other things! I KNOW you can!

IF THIS IS THE ONLY THING YOUR HUSBND DOES TO UPSET YOU THAN I WOULD SAY YOU ARE LUCKY. IS IT HARDER ON HIM TO DO THIS WHAT IS THE BEST FOR BOTH OF YOU

this is so true - do the same thing but i am sick of cleaning it and taking it out...not to menchion that i am short and our bins are big...but i just let it pile up till he changes it generally its fine tho
