We've gone through the bible several times now. We've used age appropriate texts like children's versions of the bible but always left out the book of revelations. I just don't want to scare her. She's 15 now and i feel like she needs to know. I just don't know how to bring it up.

If she's 15 she could just read it on her own. My sons are 14 and 11. About 2-3 years ago they both watched the Left Behind movies. Neither one was scared by them. Though I don't think either has actually read Revelation they both know about the Second Coming and the Tribulation, etc, all the things that Revelation talks about. We've had lots of discussions about it. They know that as long as they have accepted Jesus as their PERSONAL savior that they have nothing to be afraid of. They will be taken to Heaven by Jesus in the Rapture before all the bad stuff starts.

I think that 15 is the perfect time. I have four step children, youngest is 6, and they all know the jest of revelations. I also hosted a youthn group called Real talk ages 13 - 18 and they received it very well. I know the idea of revelations can be scary at times but I try to teach it from the aspect as it is a blessing for Christians. To know and hear about what we will not have to go through. Try a teen study guide from your local christian bookstore but on my class I used a regular adult bible study with the kids and incorperated several activities regarding thedifferent churches the rapture, the seals , etc...Children are learning far worse in school and from television and movies.

The way that I did it was I would talk about different things in it that usually reflected what was going on in the news. My kids heard it so much that they started asking where in the Bible is that and I referred them to the Book of Revelations and they read it on their on. They would then come to me with questions.
