Hannah has a deletion of her 1q23q25 chromosome. Look on the CDO web page. They may be able to find someone in the area you are at that has a chromosome deletion

Hi Kate I had a baby boy 5 weeks ago on the 19th of March and we discovered he has a 10p chromosome deletion between p15 and 12.2. My boy seems ok but has tiny ears apart from that he seemed normal, however we have not yet been able to bring him home as he has every medical test under the sun performed on him.We are meeting up with lots of doctors and geneticists but there are no answers for us, it was just bad luck and wait and see, we hope to have our little boy home soon, I have two other children with no chromosone problems, myself and my husbands chromosomes have been tested or counted and ours are normal

I am sorry for the delay, have you had any luck with help or info? What state do you live in?

hi my son is turning 5 this april, after about 2 and half years of going through different tests we were told that they had found two chromosone abnomalities, these were on chromosone 3 both ends of the chromosone are doubled up (duplicated). The middle of the other seems to have, in there words "fallen out" or has been "deleted" they said it was on the 3 q band I have no idea what this means for my son as the doctors nd consultants seem baffled by it and apparently this has never been seen or found b4? both myself and his father have been tested and we are not carriers, i have 5 other perfectly healthy children that r not affected. i have no idea where to start in getting help for him, we have been left with absoloutly no idea what the future holds for him? Anybody out there going through the same thing or have any information that i may find helpful please reply bk. many thanks, shell.xx

My stepson recently had genetic testing and was told he has a deletion at chromosome 10, band 22. Not sure if I'm using the right terminology, but something like that...he just turned 14 but acts like he is maybe 9. Severe ADHD, very impulsive, speech impediment, very short for his age, though he is now quite overweight probably due to the Abilify.

The exact deletions are 10q23.2 and 17p12. We were told that there was one other family with the 10q22.3 but never did a follow up with the child and no other person with the 17p12.

My 25 week premature daughter was diagnosed with deletions on her 17 and 10 chromosomes. We were told that there is no one else in the world with these exact deletions. The not knowing what to expect is driving me crazy.

There are 30-50 people known in the world according to a case study we are a part of. please ck out my site and join the origanizations i have listed. They are chrosome deletions organizations and they will try to hook you up with other families. We haven't meet any yet ourselves. what state are u located in?

My 9 year old was diagnosed with 17p partial deletion. I have yet to meet or even hear of anyone with just this. It feels lonely in a way, know what I mean? My son's characteristics are small stature and features altho he has a large head for his body, speech delay(takes a good ear to understand him half the time) he had physical therapy for a while to help his balance, pain response is slow or nil. My son also has ADHD and OCD. He fools a lot of people in to thinking he isn't as held back, even in comprehension(that's the biggest problem with others thinking he totally understands), which makes it hard to get people to understand him.
