Any tips on kids sharing a room when one doesn't sleep well?

Hi.
My two boys are 2 1/2 and 9 months. They have shared a room since my youngest was 6 months. My youngest has started not sleeping well and wakes us all up quite a lot in the night. My oldest is starting to get upset by it and although he goes back to sleep seems really sad to hear his brother cry and sometimes starts to cry himself. We don't have another room (except ours). should I wait it out?? should I take one back in with me?? will it scar my oldest to hear crying so much, or is it just normal and he'll get used to it?? Any tips?

i have a 2 and half yr old ans a 3 yr old sharing and my youngest son has problems sleeping i have had to divide the room into two so he wont go and wake his brother in the middle of the night its has been working so far its has also stopped him runninng a muck while we are asleep.

Eventually your son will get used to the crying. If he does go back to sleep that is great if not then give him a few minutes of attention too. Maybe gently read both a story. It is what we did with our boys but now my oldest sleeps and my youngest sleeps. We are going to be adding our third so lets see how that goes lol.

I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 14 month old who have always slept in the same room and we have this problem now and again. We've found putting them to sleep at different times is helpful and as far as one waking up the other we put the older on in charge of coming to "wake us up" (of course we are already up) or if it's just that the little one lost her binki giving her the extra. This lets her feel like she's helping and helps to keep her from getting upset or frustrated.

I've got 23 mth old twin boys and a 3yr old boy all in the same room. We had problems like that when they all started to sleep together, give it time they do adjust. Now 1 can be screaming and the others sleep through it. I don't know how though.
