my recipe is very similar to the one Kaitlin posted... I think the ratio is a little different, but it is basically the same thing. It has worked great both on my front loader HE and now that we moved and bought a top loader HE it works even better.

equal parts washing soda (not baking soda), borax and oxi clean (or store brand, like sun bright).
Don't use any cream or wax base bars shredded in your home made cloth diaper detergents. While these are GREAT for cleaning clothes, it hinders absorption and holds smell in your diapers.
