Any of you make your own reusable wipes?

If so, what solution do you use for them? Do you use them for both pee and poop? If so, how do you like using them?

Thanks!

I use baby washcloths you can fold them and put them in an old wipe container thats been cleaned and they will pop up just like normal wipes do. I do not put the solution in the container as it makes it smell musty if they sit too long and arent used quicly. I bought some spray bottles and mix my own solution and just shake the spray bottle and spay the washcloth to wipe the baby. I have had no issues and have been doing it with my cloth diapers for about a mth. this is what I use: 2tbsp baby oil
2tbsp babywash (whatever you normally use would be fine) I use cetaphil with restoraderm as my kids have eczema so this keeps them clear and its safe for their bums.
1 1/2 cups of cold preboiled water

some others I have found online are:
1/2 cup baby oil
1/2 cup babywash
2 cups water
or
1tbsp baby oil
2 tsp baby shampoo
2 1/2 cups water

I personally prefer the one I use as the its not too much baby oil so it doesnt leave residue on my cloth diapers and I havent had any issues with it ;) hope this helps.

I found an old flannel sheet and cut it into little squares and hemmed the edges (not without the help of a good friend...54...55...56.....87!) and since my little girl is only 3months I am still just using plain water. Then I just throw em in the wash with the dipes and voila! Works great so far and it was free and will continue to be :)

New to board I do home made wipes but dont use cloth yet, but will be for the next lo.

I do a few drops of roman chamomile,a few drops of tea tree oil. a small amount of baby soap some olive oil then top with bottled water.

You can do disposible by using nappy linners or use some soft fabric. I bought some towling fabric for my kids and it woked great for at home, the home made disposibles worked whilst out (didnt fancy carrying around dirty wipes etc, yuck lol

we've just used facecloths and water and yes for everything. I find them preferable to disposables.

I make my own wash stuff for the wipes..I am mixed on them bc I love the concept however my PAMPERS lol wipes or other brand..work so great....buuut for this next baby I am going to do homemade wipes for pee and use the disp. ones for poo?! that is my plan....it will cut down dramatically on how much we buy and waste.....that being said the solution I use is: 1 good squirt baby shampoo....1 good squirt baby oil and 1 good squirt baby lotion..(works for us!) and then fill the rest of the spray bottle with water...spray the wipe and then use! throw it in with the diapers and wash like normal! :) and I made my own wipes out of old receiving blankets!: )
