Hello all...newbie here, to the board, motherhood and CD'ing! :)

I'm wondering if anyone here has used the Swaddlebees one size bamboo inserts and liked them, My little girl is almost 3 months and I've recently switched from disposables to Fuzzibunz one-size diapers, which I'm loving so far. I guess she's a heavy wetter though...with one microfiber insert she often leaks out of her diaper within an hour to hour and a half (the insert is soaked through), and if I double up the inserts she lasts longer but then the diapers are SO bulky on her tiny frame and then I can't fit her into her clothes! She's just hit 10 lbs at 11 weeks and I hate how big the diapers are if I double up...so I was wondering if a bamboo insert would be a lot trimmer and hold way more than the inserts the diapers came with. I'm open to other options as well, but the reason why the one size insert is so appealing to me is that they can be adjusted for length as my daughter grows...I've already made a huge investment into the Fuzzibunz themselves and was not counting on having to buy additional inserts to the ones they came with, especially having quit work to be a SAHM...so an insert that does not require that I invest in larger sizes as she grows is essential!
Any help is appreciated!

Geez, the hemp ones are a lot more than the cotton prefolds! Still not too bad...

No experience with their brand, but I used FuzziBunz and bamboo dipes as well. The bamboo was much thinner but soaked faster (3 thinner layers bamboo vs 3 thicker layers microfiber with the fuzzybunz, so maybe 3 thick layers or 6 thin layers would get you farther?). I have read that hemp or hemp/cotton blends hold the most, but still only a bit more than the microfiber per layer. I did have one hemp blend diaper I used for nights for a while and it did hold more (Kissaluvs cotton/hemp fitted) than the fuzzybunz. One cheap doubler that is thin I have read a lot of moms like is hemp prefolds folded into thirds or around the microfiber insert. Good luck! It seemed my DD had bouts of frequent wetting through but it slowed down again till she was about 1, when it picked up again. I used some old thick towels for doublers, they soak up a lot but are kinda bulky, but if you have extra towels that are going to rags it is free to try!
