I've also been looking for recommendations here on this. In the end I have gone for a couple of the Imse Vimse training pants, plus 2 packs of the Luvable Friends brand training pants. That seemed like a good compromise between the more expensive versions, and the cheaper, possibly not so good ones. I'll let you know how it turns out when we start with them in a few weeks.
Vilate - yours looked great, but just a bit on the pricey side for me. I could just about justify the Imse Vimse, but nothing more! I hope we won't need these for too long anyway.

I make and sell and use my training pants! you can see them here. http://www.vilatesniftynook.etsy.com
I am in the process of making up listings for a choose your own fabric so you can see some of the fabrics I have avaliable.
I love these. they are absorbent enough that the pee doesn't run down their legs or make a big puddle on your couch, but it lets them know that they are wet. Made with hemp and bamboo they are great!

I use 'Mother-ease Bed wetter pants' for my eldest daughter. Mother-ease also make training pants, I haven't used them but if they are as good as the bed wetter pants I would recommend them. Hope this helps. :o)

I haven't used them myself, but I've seen them. The Happy Heiny's cloth training pants looked really nice and I would consider them.
