My 18 lb, 6-month old is an awesome cloth diaper baby. My only caveat is that I can't find good pants that fit. His bum's just too big. Any chain stores that have larger sizing for big bums? Any brands that any of you can recommend for clothing.
He's a Bummis baby and I'm not switching up on the diapers. I just need to find pants that fit. Either that or he'll live in his overalls. :)

I've found a lot of pants that fit from Target. My son was about the same size as yours at 6mo and that's where we had the most luck.

I use zippered pants with snaps and just buy the next size up for my son. I found they were easier to get off and on than elastic waste pants. I found nice ones at Kohls or Target for a decent price.

Know any nice ladies with sewing machines? You can get some good patterns and pick from an infinite number of fabric designs and get someone to sew up some for you.

I invested in a sewing machine for that very reason. My mum sews, and my Nana, so it is kind of in my blood, and I'm not too bad. You just follow the steps in the pattern. I love the huge choice of fabric designs too. In shops it is this or that and that's it. I can choose absolutely any colour, design, flowers, trains, whatever and make it to fit perfectly. It's good for gifts too, because once you own the pattern, you can make it as many times as you like for very little money, as most kids clothes only need less than a metre of fabric.

In Australia, I find Big W has some cute outfits and pants that are designed for nappies.

I use fitted diapers, and so they need a cover. I am a wool convert and I make my covers. I just make longies out of wool, and they wear like pants. So I have taken care of two problems with one pair of wool pants. Ane they are adorable and a mite cheaper than the ones I would have to buy! :)
