Remember that cloth diapering is best for you lil one and don get discouraged. Disposable diapers contain chemicals and perfumes and people are putting those things directly on to the most vulnerable place on your childs body, depositing these harmful chemicals into the bloodstream after becoming wet. Plus it is proven that cloth diapered babies potty train faster. I found some great facts on the Cottobabies.com website.

Quoting Nicole:

I personally think it is a myth that cloth nappies encourage faster toilet training. My second son is 3 next month and has no interest in toilet training. He has been wearing modern cloth since he was about 10 mths old in the day and mostly at night. He doesn't feel the wet, the nappy feels dry to my hand and obviously to his bum unless really soaking wet. All children train at there own time my first son was trained by now (from disposables) and my baby girl will train at a different time again no doubt.

I think what you'll find is that babies in traditional cloth train faster but mcn don't have that same sopping wet feeling so don't cause the urge to potty train.

There is a huge difference between traditional cloth, disposables and mcn- and if it were me I'd be itching to get out of those horrible disposables but mcn actually feel nice.

Elizabeth, I only use the diapers at night. During the day I use training pants with plastic pants and as I mentioned before, my son honestly does not care and will sit in wet pants forever. I even tried the "Commando" approach and all he does is tell me where he has had his accident at... oh well... I know that he will get it... eventually!

I have to agree with Nicole because someone obviously forgot to tell my son! lol I thought it would be quick because my other cloth diapered son trained in less than a week. My son could care less how wet he is which is weird to me since he's always so dry in his diaper...
