I know they make cloth swim diapers. I was just wondering if it was ok to use a regular cloth diaper in the pool. I have pocket diapers, can I use these in the pool?

If you are going to a public pool, check their rules. Our local sprayground (water fountian that kids can play in ) requires plastic waterproof pants. The state owned public pool requires the disposable swim pants, and the Y is okay with cloth swim diapers.

I would use a cloth diaper shell that has a mesh or netting and no absorbant features (Like a GroVia cover). AND if you're going to just use any cover, it's a good idea to always use that same one. I use the Bummis swim diaper. They are nice and trim with that mesh I was talking about. That's basically to catch something solid...

you can, just remove the insert so it doesn't get all soggy with chlorinated pool water. FYI - swim diapers are just glorified pocket diapers without the insert anyways.

most swimmiing diapers let liquid go through and catches the solids. thats pretty much the only reason for them. so i dont see the problem of using a regular cloth diaper

I would think so... either way if they pee it's gonna get in the pool.
