My little one is walking and when she has on her cloth diapers they are so wide in the middle she has a hard time getting up when she falls over or down or is sitting on the floor. She is really skinny and tiny. Any one found a way to fix this problem of the diapers being really wide in the middle? I am trying tomake some myself along with working to find already made ones, and even the ones I am making myself that i can slim down are giving her some trouble. If anyone has suggestions let me know please.

We use prefolds, and the bikini twist is PERFECT for girls, especially girls who are walking. :-)

If you're not using prefolds now, they're inexpensive enough, that they may very well be worth the investment.

I go with the bikini twist too :-)

My LO is 6 months and I almost always use the bikini twist. It makes it much narrower between the legs and surprisingly doesn't leak any more than the other folds for me. The benefit of this over a fitted is that you are not loosing any amount of absorbant material.

if using prefolds, i find the bikini twist works the best for the big middle issue. also, fittend diapers help as will, i don't have any issues now that i use fitteds.

If you are using prefolds, check out the video clips at www.GreenEarthMama.com to see some different ways of folding...especially the twist method

I had this problem too... my kids are super skinny, especially in the butt area. :) I finally made my own diapers after finding a couple that had features I liked. I kind of mixed and matched the stuff I wanted in a diaper and made *my* ideal diaper.
