Dad on board

in our first weeks we were using the newborn pampers the hospital sent us home with too. but when we started cloth i found that he was so little the thick prefold kinds were too much. so we just used the single cloths folded up for him. and i also used the super cheap gerber covers then too because they stayed snug around his leg (so no leaking) and they aren't bulky for his tiny body. as he got older i switched to prefolds and using better quality covers.

we're in a similar problem because our son is pretty much too big for the newborn diaper covers now, and WAY too small for the next size up...so pretty much if he poops, it's all over the diaper cover. sigh. i'll just have to keep feeding him and fatten up his legs so the poop won't leak out anymore! :-)

We used disposables for the first two weeks. He was over 7 pounds even at his lowest weight, but the cloth diapers were so big on him! I had half bumGenius one sizes and half infant prefolds with Bummis super whisper wraps. Even once we started using the cloth - I hadn't expected to actually use 14 diapers a day, so I was using disposables while I washed the cloth, until my mom bought me six more BG.
