My son is a super soaker and I just can't keep him leak free at night! I'm using Happy Heiny One size diapers. I've tried the large microfiber insert with two medium hemp inserts and he still wets through. The hemp inserts I'm using now are used, so I'm not sure if they are all hemp or a mixture of hemp and cotton. They are pretty thin, so I am thinking all hemp and they still aren't enough!!!! In the morning, they are completely saturated and the extra urine starts soaking into his pjs. I've also tried the cotton babies bigger weeds as an insert and it isn't enough even with another insert. I REALLY don't want him in disposables at night, so I'm still trying stuff.

Does anyone have feedback on the HH hemp Stuffins with extra ovals versus a layer of two large all hemp doublers?

Thanks mamas

I also use a disposable at night. I like for my LO to stay as dry and snug as possible while sleeping. During the day however, I would like for her to feel wet, uncomfortable, and weighed down when she pees in her cloth diaper so she will start to frequent the potty more :)

Have you ever stripped your diapers with RLR or Sports Wash (found in sports section at walmart). You might have hidden build up. Also make sure you are using a detergent that will not leave buildup. http://www.diaperjungle.com/detergent-ch...
Right before my daughter got out of her cloth at 20M she would wear a BG with Microfiber and below it a Joey hemp insert. Make sure you put the microfiber over the hemp because it absorbs slower.

How about a diaper cover. My daughter used cloth diapers with a plastic type cover and had no leaks.

I 4th wool!!!!!!!! I use Sustainablebabyish fitted snap with a Little Beetle cover. I have long pants, shorts and velcro cover and rotate them. I keep 3-4 fitted in stock for her size just because I do not do loads as often as I should... Never had a leak so far. I do a lanolin wash every 2-3 weeks. Swear by wool!

I cannot use pocket diapers at nighttime or my heavywetter leaks REALLY BAD. We've had to start using hemp or bamboo fitteds with a cover. My FAVORITE fitted for bedtime is actually a fanciful fanny from hyenacart and I have had great luck with a stacinator cover over top of that :)

I like Very Baby Simply Nights fitted with wool covers. You can have them made with either hemp or bamboo. The fitted diaper does soak through overnight, but the wool keeps everything else dry!

I haven't had a lot of luck with HH. While I loved the fit of the sized diaps, I can't say I'm at all satisfied with the way the one-sized diaps have functioned for us. I really prefer BG's in the daytime & my FuzziBunz at night. FB's run very large but now that he's big enough the fit is wonderful. I use two-three inserts & generally have good luck. I did have a small HH hemp stuffins for when he was younger. It seemed to work pretty well, but I wouldn't say that it preformed any better then 2 large hemp doublers did.

Wool all the way. I do NOT have a super soaker, but have never had an issue with wool. I use wool about 75% of the time. my DS is prone to rash, and the wool breathes and keeps his skin fresher. BTW i do not have a brand recomendation, i make all my own out of second hand store sweaters.

I swear by bamboo. I boost all my daytime pockets with a small bamboo booster and they double the absorbancy. At night I use baby beehinds one size bamboo fitteds with a cover. I haven't had a leak at night in a whole year of use.

I had the same problem with Bumgenius plus a hemp liner in the pocket. Now I use my regular Motherease with the Jamtots hemp liner folded in thirds covered by the Motherease liner. I haven't had a leak since.

me too. I use disposables at night, they were the only thing that kept him dry (and I still have to change him at his 4:00am feed).

I'll third the wool soaker idea, even though we've never used wool (cait has eczema, and flares badly around wool). I've heard wonderful things about it. Also, since everyone else is branding their hemp products :) try Thirsties hemp doublers. They've worked really well so far for us!

I second the wool soaker idea. I never have leaks unless I forget the woolies!

I like the DryBees Fleece Night Time pocket with an ArtsyFartsyFooFoo hemp insert under a microfiber insert.

I would try a cricketts under a dancing bears fleece soaker. Or just get a dancing bears fleece soaker and put it over the HH at night. They are bullet proof!

I had same trouble with my son I tried everything and in the end i just put a disposable on him. I found it was the only way to stop him getting wet.

I swear by wool! I have two wool soakers that I have on rotation and I have only had a couple leaks since I bought them months and months back. And the leaks happened just because I needed to re-lanolize. At night I use one prefold under a Bummis Super Whisper Wrap or a Thirsties cover. And then over top of that I put the wool soaker. When morning comes, the prefold and cover are pretty soaked through but the wool keeps it all in and prevents his jammies and bed from getting wet. I bought my soakers from this website...

I have also purchased their footies which I love, and I'm currently stalking my mail woman in anticipation of the arrival of a pair of slippers I ordered:)

I have tried the HH hemp stuffins and didn't find them good at all! Have you consitered useing a fitted diaper with a cover? Or even putting a diaper cover over your HH pocket diaper (if it will fit) I find the Motherease diapering system bullet proof. I have a heavy wetter as well and never have a leak. I use the Motherease diaper which alone holds 14 oz then a Motherease stay dry liner which holds an additional 7 oz then a motherease cover. There are lots of other good fitted diapers out there too like Good mamas. could it be just that your inserts are gapping and causing leaks? I haven't tried the onesize HH but have used the sized ones and I found they leaked no time after putting them on around the legs.
