Diaper pail liner?

Are there any major retailers that sell reusable diaper pail liners? I don't want to go online as I need one asap. Or would it work to make one out of ripstop nylon? Would that leak too much or fall apart in the wash?

Gillian, Thank you for tha advice!!! I need all the help I can get! I use diposables with my first two and this is all new to me. I have some prefolds, flats, covers(proraps and thirsties) 2 gdipaers and 2 BG 3.0. The prorap covers have cut outs for the umbilical cord but again not sure how things will fit. I did get some disposables just incase!!!

Susan, since you haven't started yet, wanted to give you a little FYI, that you may want to wait till the cord falls off to start the cloth - if your diapers are a little high in front.

Also, I find that not having a lid or cover on my diaper pail, and letting the air in to dry them, makes the smell so much better than the wet bags I use when I go out, that keep all the moisture in.

I haven't started CDing as my little one has not arrived yet but I bought a zippered pillow case that you get for if you suffer from allergies. It is water proof or resistant anyway and thought I would try that. I don't know how it will wash over time but I figured I wouldn't put it in the dryer and see how it works and lasts. I think it was $8-9. I just set it in a trash can with a cover.

I use the liners from weebunz.com and put it right in with the diapers. I do dry mine and haven't had any problems. I think I use the Bummis too.

A pillow case is a super idea!  I had decided to buy a sheet at a thrift store and cut/sew that into a bag, but a pillowcase is already sewn for me!  Yay one less step!  I need a liner b/c I'm sloppy and get baby poop on the sides of the pail when I toss the diapers in from across the room.  And if I put it out in the sun for an hour, it doesn't matter that the liner isn't waterproof.  Super!  Thanks all.

I don't use a liner-- just a plastic 5 gallon trash can. I have a wet bag, but I hated it-- just one more thing to wash! :-)

I just use a hamper liner in the diaper pail. It's cloth mesh, so it's very breatheable, and I just empty it out into the wash with the diaps. I think it came from Babies R Us. I tried to find an example online, but couldn't, sorry!

I just bought a wet bag from amazon for about $20, and I think its small looking. (even though it is a size large). This is what I got exactly:

Bummis Waterproof Bag (Large 10 Gal. Diaper Pail-23"X22")

It also looks like it is not entirely water-proof. More water resistant. As soon as I took the thing out of the box, I thought "Man, I could have made a better one out of a shower curtain!" I'm not much of a sewer, but how hard can it be to sew a bag? Also, I know shower curtains can go in the laundry. The shower liners are only a few dollars anyways. Good luck!

Bummis sells a diaper pail liner and they come in all different sizes , you can wash them in the washer with your diapers just not dry it.

I made my own out of PUL, but before that I dry pailed in a bucket and sunned it too!  I have heard of people using a pillow case and then just throwing it in the wash along with the dipes.

I don't use a liner either. I use a tall garbage can and whenever I wash, I just put the pail and lid out in the sun for an hour or so. It stays clean and doesn't smell.

I just use a five gallon bucket right now. I can hose it out.
