How do you deodorise your absorbent inserts? I've been using them for 4 months and they're starting to not smell as clean as I'd like.

I have found that washing them frequently helps to reduce odour. Also rinsing them well before putting them in the nappy bucket has helped. Cant say I have had too many problems with odour. I do actually prefer to use the Baby Beehinz brand rather then my pea pods. I find BBH more absorbent, and their coloured nappy covers are the best (i use them over normal terry towelling)

I tried used a spray from bum genius to cut down on the smell, but I didn't think it worked. I found doing an extra wash and putting some soap in the prewash soak helped. I also have a hose on the toilet for rinsing poop and if the liner is really soaked with urine, I'll use the hose to rinse the liner too. That has helped too.
