I am loving my Nellies Laundry Soda, but I am wondering if there is one out there that lot's of people find amazing! Is there a detergent you absolutely love?

Charlie's soap, you can get a tub on amazon.com that makes your costs $0.08/load. I can't remember the exact pounds in the tub, but the cost was $125 with free shipping at the time.

Oh, definitely Country Save - it does a great job, is free of "junk" like fragrances and petroleum, and is relatively inexpensive!

I've had really great luck with Purex Free and Clear. The diapers come clean and odor free. I do still throw in some baking soda or vinegar on a regular basis, just to boost odor-fighting (baking soda) and disinfecting (vinegar). We've also found that if they're still a bit "soapy" an extra rinse cycle helps get rid of the bubbles.

Nature Clean!!! And you can buy it at the Canadian Superstore and Zerhs now (vs. the specialty stores for more $$$).....LOVE IT....haven't had to strip my diapers once in five months! Always clean and fresh!

I have used charlie's soap for most of the two and a half years of cloth, but I started getting stink in our top loader with hard water, so I switched to allens...but my baby seems to be sensitive to it...gets a rash every time I use it...even with lots of extra rinses....sigh...so it's back to charlie's soap, but we've moved to a different state and I haven't noticed much stink, so maybe that resolved it....hope so.

I started using Tide Free for my FuzziBunz, but noticed a stink issue, I switched to Gain. it resolved for a while and then came back, I stripped all my diapers, then I switched to Arm and Hammer Free, and stink has been creeping back, so i will give Nellie's a try, most of mine have been washed once in it, but only time will tell, big issue for me is I do a diaper service so sometimes the diapers sit for two or three days or the dad will forget them for a week... and I have rust and sulphur in my water, i do have a water softener which helps, I am hoping Nellie's works with my water. :-)

My fave has been All 2x HE free & clear. A cd'ing friend of mine swears by Charlie's Soap, but I haven't been impressed with it.

I live in Vancouver, BC and there is one specifically made for our soft water called "Vancouver Only" I find that it is AMAZING on my daughters cloth diapers and our laundry. No residue build up, no scent, laundry smells fresh, so if you know of anyone or if you yourself are from the Vancouver area I highly recommend it.

We use Plant too. No odors, residue, or enzymes and you can get the powder on Amazon in bulk for pretty cheap.

My favorite is Country Save. But here is a list of other top recommended brands that are approved by cloth diaper manufacturers. The list breaks out which ones are best for HE washers vs. top loading washers.

A new one that a lot of people rave about is Rockin' Green Soap. They make special formulas for people with hard water and soft water. I didn't like it much but a lot of people seem to love it. It hasn't been tested yet by all diaper manufacturers so you won't find it on this list.

Well the only one I have used is "Planet" laundry soap. I like that it cleans well, and has nothing in that bothers sensitive skin (at least for us).
