Just got my inserts in the mail this morning from The Nappy Shoppe, they are called G-Flappers
http://www.nappyshoppe.com/store/index.p...
They seem VERY trim so far! Haven't given them the nap or bedtime test (I am guessing not so much) but they are going to be awesome for those "skinny" outfits. I spent less than $8 cover, and the inserts run anywhere from $5-$7, so even if you don't reuse the covers (which you can and should!) that's a very cheap diaper. They are not one-size, though, but bc they are so cheap, who cares? I will probably have a lot of covers "preloaded" with the inserts and then just set the covers aside to reload later. So this seems like a system that would be very easy to organize, very easy on the diaper bag, and very easy for anyone living in a two story home. I mean, come on, am I the only one that hauls me and my babies up and down the stairs all day long to change diapers or go rinse out poopies? Blah! Waiting on my order from cotton wood babies.

Hope this helps! I also think you have a couple days left to order the 6-day pack for $40 ... which is how I got my covers so inexpensively and the only reason I decided to go ahead and give these a try. Check our some gDiaper groups on-line, there are a lot of gMums trying to give out their codes for this discount!

wishing I would have known about them before I invested in all my prefolds and wraps only because they look so trim.

I use g diapers and I love them. To keep the cost down I regularly use prefold cloth diapers instead of the disposable liners and use the disposable liners when we are on vacation or are washing the cloth ones. It took a while for daycare to get the hang of using them but if you go to the g diapers website they have some great tools to help educate caregivers. good luck!

About the g-pants: They aren't more expensive than most diaper covers out there ($16.99-18.99). Also, if you join the Yahoo! gDiapers group, there are always used ones for sale.

I haven't tried g-diapers, but I would think that the best way to use them would be to go with an insert you can wash and reuse, so that you save the $$. I would suggest hemp, bamboo, flannel, fleece, or a micro fiber lined with something else. You don't want the microfiber on your babies bum as it wicks away too much. Good luck!

In my search for an alternative to disposables I tried the G-diapers. They are ok. When you flush them you do have to rip the lining of the pad to get the inner cotton out. Not much of a big deal for wet diapers but (especially with breastfed babies) ripping apart the dirty ones can be pretty gross. They are rather expensive. 10 cents more a diaper may not seem like much but that is about 30% more than disposables cost. Obviously using the prefolds would cut down the cost. If you do get them it is much cheaper to get multiple starter packs (if you don't mind the lack of color variation) rather than buying individual diapers.

We love our gDiapers! We've been using them since Jack was 15 months old, and he's almost 3 now. (We're slowly introducing the toilet training concept.) You can stuff the g's with the "flushies" or with cloth pre-folds. (Some people use other stuffings, but these are the only two I've used.) If you do the pre-folds, then g's are actually less expensive than some of the other CD options out there. If you use the flushies, then g's are about 10 cents more per diaper than disposables. (That number varies depending on where you buy the flushies, and if you're using small or large flushies.) You get the bonus, though, of supporting a Cradle to Cradle company and product.
There's a Yahoo group for gDiapers. A link to the group is on the gDiapers web site.

Let me know how you like them (the g-diapers) I was looking into using them, but they seemed rather expensive for the little amount I could purchase. The g-diapers though look really cool to use, do let me know how you like them.
