Help getting wool covers on?

I am new to wool covers and am LOVING them so far - we have solved our overnight leaking issue and they are so cute and breathable. However, I have a really hard time getting them on my daughter (over a prefold or fitted plus an insert/doubler). Post-bath, pre-feeding is my daughter's fussiest time so I hate having to push, roll, and prod her for 5 minutes to get the cover on correctly. I have three covers, all pull on style and once they are on, they fit, so the issue is not the size. After I bought them I found out there were wrap style wool covers, but I can't really afford to get any more right now so I am stuck with the pull ons. Anyone have tips for getting these on quickly?

Thanks Mara! I will try stretching them a bit before putting on. I have actually gotten better at it by rolling her onto her side to get the waistband over the diaper bump.

My only idea is to stretch them out before trying to pull them on. Also, you could go without a cover for the fussy times and wait until she is calmer and ready to sit still.
